WANT this NEWS in the future? Republicans gain 20 more Congressional Seats
Edited on Tue Oct-18-05 07:55 AM by NoBushSpokenHere
Shocked?

Well, if you don't ALL get on the bandwagon for ELECTION REFORM and uncovering the ELECTION FRAUD OF 2004 this very well may be the headlines in 2006! If you are one of the Democrats who think there is no way to uncover the fraud so we might as well deal with it - then think again! There is statistical evidence our candidate may have had up to even 60% of the November 2nd vote! Can you imagine what would happen if this 60% STOOD UP FOR DEMOCRACY?

How, you ask? Well by getting off our asses and doing something about it! How many of you have protested the theft of 2004? How many of you have called or written your congressman to demand fair elections? How many of you have attended Board of Election meetings? How many of you have worked to clear the DINO's out of the Democrat Party? Do you even know what a DINO is? DINO is 'democrat in name only' and there are plenty of them who have infiltrated our party! They are on our boards of elections, they are in our state legislative offices, and in our congress!

While you have had your head stuck in the sand denying the election fraud was on such a massive scale, these DINO's have been voting for vote-eating-machines to tabulate our votes nationwide!

Don't try to tell me you care about our election process - if you did care you wouldn't let people like Sherole Eaton http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=203&topic_id=377793 go hungry or you wouldn't have ignored pleas from the people working so hard to uncover the evidence to help by attending meetings, rallies, making phone calls or visiting your representatives!

Sherole may be having mediation soon with the people who fired her for speaking out - at this point in time, I wouldn't blame her if she made an agreement to drop her case in order to regain her job. And the reason I wouldn't blame her? I wouldn't blame her because the very people she STOOD UP for has NOT STOOD for her!

On Nov 3rd, I was one of many who said, "What the hell?" Well, not anymore - looking back I can see the reason Kerry didn't stand. He gave us a hint during his speech - it has to come from the people not a protracted legal process (not verbatim). So people where are you?

Do you want to be a pathetic lot or do you want to STAND UP FOR FAIR ELECTIONS WITH VOTER VERIFIED PAPER BALLOTS?

Or, does the headline of this post appeal to you?

If it does, continue to do nothing.
If it doesn't then lets STAND IN SOLIDARITY!
Let's DU our MEDIA
Let's DU our REPRESENTATIVES
Let's DU our BOE's
Let's DU a rally or protest march!

I have faith in my fellow democrats here at DU - so lets do it!

1. I'm not going to shut down this thread. But for the record...
I'm not a big fan of fake news headlines on DU. People come here for reliable information, and headlines like this undermine that.

I understand, I used the headline out of frustration. Will try to modify if the time limit hasn't elapsed.

17. Seconded.
Using the term BREAKING NEWS in a headline when it isnt actually news is misleading, and detrimental to your cause. I personally get angry when I am lied to which is EXACTLY what you are doing with your post. This makes me less likely to support your cause.

21. I apologized and changed the headline very quickly when
Skinner made me aware of it. I understand and agree it shouldn't have been used. Had there been a larger amount of space my Headline would have read:

How would you like to wake up and read this headline: BREAKING: Repubs........etc.

At the time of posting it - I really thought people would realize the difference BUT when I saw it myself (which was about the time Skinner did), I realized I shouldn't have used the Breaking headline.

Yes, I wanted the post to receive as much attention as possible as the voting issue is very near and dear to me as it should be to all of us.

My error was my error, my apology is my apology.

Please don't let my error be the cause of you not supporting the election reform and the investigation of 2004. This is too important of an issue to walk away from regardless how angry you may be at me.

28. I too appreciate your not shutting down the thread BUT
would anybody take the news as serious? That the Repubs had gained 25 seats at a time when there hasn't even been an election?

Come on. I agree with the princiiple, but when it's so obviously a put on.

I suspect that's the reason the post wasn't shut down.

Anyway, lesson learned. Enough said.

5. Do you honestly think
That you could get to 60 percent while purging DINOs? What percentagege of those voting for Kerry were DINOs?

Seems to me your are going to have to find two folks fore every DINO you purge and send over to the other side.

6. Have done the things you suggest already...
I have seen a lot of posts lately that tend to lecture this group on non-action, or being "brain-dead" or whatever. Am I the only one that is feeling a little bashed in the head by friends?

I am sorry that I missed that one thread about the fund for Ms. Eaton. If I had any money, I would send some to her. I'm just tapped out. Please don't take that to mean that I don't care.

10. It is my belief that this is a very active group. Your post might
make a great LTTE to motivate the local people to move. If you modified the letter a little and gave permission for anyone here to personalize it some and send it to their respective local papers, you wouldn't be preaching to the choir. I agree with your sentiments, but I think you are speaking your words of wisdom to people who already care and are active.

The activist group is beginning to move again, also. I'm not a member of that group, but I hope they will guide us in what other things we can do to save this country and get VVPB.

11. Let's DU Diebold!
Short of physically destroying EVERY electronic voting machine, including optical scan tabulators, we have NO, as in ZERO chance of winning back the House or Senate in 2006. It's time to face facts: All of the activism in the world won't make a damn bit of difference as long as the Right owns and operates the vote.

They stole Max Cleland's seat in 2002.

They stole the presidency (among other things) in 2004.

They'll steal whatever suits them in 2006, and as usual, the Democratic Party will bend over and take it.

Who is going to stop this? You? Me? All of us? Don't hold your breath. Even if we managed to get EVERY Dem in the country to vote absentee (on real, honest-to-God paper), they'd still be able to steal elections. All they'd need to do is alter the electronic results to show a greater number of votes than the absentee ballots, and play with the percentages a little. Presto! Republicans would magically have control of the Senate, 75-25, with a similar ratio of control in the House.

What, me pessimistic? You bet your sweet ass I am.

13. Go to your local board of elections and start there.
One person can make a difference, and chances are that there are a lot of people in your area that feel the same way you do. I'm sure that even repubs at the local level want fair and free elections. Just tell them that dems might steal their votes - they will come around.

14. Been there, done that...
I went to my county elections supervisor, and to SEVERAL meetings of the county board of elections, to no avail. Over my protests (and BBV fact sheets, the Bev Harris and Dean video, and statistical evidence), Brooke County, West Virginia has decided to go with E-Vote machines manufactured by E.S.& S. Apparently, the board liked the "ease-of-use" and "enhanced security measures" of te ES&S machines. I walked out in disgust right after the conclusion of the vote. I did what I could, thus I feel eminently entitled to complain pessimistically about the death of democracy.

My new sig line should be, "Ones and zeroes do not a democracy (or Republic) make."

16. Alright, you are indeed eminently entitled to be pessimistic!
Sounds like you went through a nightmare. Your story sounds familiar, maybe you have posted it on DU before. Well, thank you for your effort anyway, you are a patriot!

Just remember, though, in your pessimism, there are many who might get different results in their local areas. If they feel like it is a lost cause, they may not even try. Pessimism can be deadly to a political movement.

24. this is why there needs to be a democratic candidate in EVERY Election
regardless of supposed win-ability. The election stealers can't possibly lord over every contest in every precinct in every state. I think the electorate is sick of repukes and will vote accordingly in '06. If dems are winning all the dog catcher, school board, and trustee seats in the hinterland, it is going to be difficult for state wide elections to be stolen if the results are contradictory.

15. Lonely are the brave
The brave who stick their necks out fighting for Democracy against the VRWC that has stolen the vote, are nearly alone in the struggle. Deserted by the establishment, ridiculed by liberals, shunned by the sheeple, the voting activists struggle without much support from those whose votes they fight to protect.

Yall better hope we win the struggle, otherwise our exercise in Democracy will be for naught, just as Kerry's win was flushed away by the stealing of his election. And Gore's win, too.

It is a sad day on DU when just 50% of the members grok the reality that the election process has been sold to the highest bidder. A sad loathsome day. How many more such days will we endure?

34. Not pathetic
I've been protesting this stolen election since the very day (which I spent volunteering with kids in tow). Actually, I guess I started even before the election, spreading the voting machine fraud warnings. I woke up screaming on Nov. 3rd. I protested and called and wrote LTTEs and emailed and petitioned and freewayblogged until I was blue in the face. I was at the 51 Capital "You Stole My Vote" March. I supported Clint Curtis' vote rigging charges. I lobbied Barbara Boxer to challenge the fraudulent Ohio electors, and sent flowers to her and Stephanie Tubbs-Jones afterwards. I supported John Conyers and treasure my signed copy of his Ohio report. I supported the North Carolina VVPB Bill that we passed this summer.

:hangover:

I wasn't aware of Sherole's hardship before this. Thanks for the link you gave to http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=203&topic_id=377793 that explained it all. I just made a paypal donation to the Sherole Eaton 11/02/2004 fund with the info in that thread.
