H.W. Bush's Reaction to Albert Pujols' Homerun Last Night

What I wouldn't give for a high res version of that shot.

Looks like he's actually booing at Albert.

Under high stress I guess the Satanic tendencies shoot right out!

If ANYONE recorded a high-def version of last night's game (the standard 4x3 ratio doesn't show Mr. 1,000 points of light), than maybe that person could get a screen capture of that moment and post it here.

That would be sooooooo classic.

3. Life Long Cardinals Fan
I've been a Cardinals fan my whole life.

Born and raised a Missouri Yellow Dog Democrat Cardinal Fan.

It will be nice to be watching Dick Gephardt behind the plate cheering the Cardinals instead of H.W. Shrub & wife.

Go Cardinals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Albert ... enemy to the Bush's.

That wouldn't surprise me. In my eyes, makes him even more of a hero.

He is THE MAN!

he & James Bakker role in the 2000 campaign & Florida
invasion of Panama
The Carlyie Group

7. Since we can't take him off to prison ...
... seeing him reel in mental anguish at the hands of my Cardinals is the closest thing I might get.

This should make every American that cares about the Constitution a huge Cardinal fan!

8. Poppy has much to answer for
But this screen shot isn't one of them. Pujols just touched off a monster home run that cost the Astros (at least temporarily) their first pennant. It could be booing, he could be be saying "Holy shit, that was a moon shot", anything could be happening.

But if it caused Poppy a moment's consternation, then I'm okay with it.

12. Just a little taste of revenge ...
That's all it is ... maybe the closest thing we'll get.

It would be great to see someone put H.W. in the ring and bounce him around like a rag doll until he's limp.

To see him beat up like Rocky beat up Apollo Creed in Rocky II.

But that's not going to happen.

For now, Albert's Homerun will have to do.

20. I have to agree
That screen shot is from a time just a fraction of a second after Pujols hit the ball, which at that point was over left field somewhere. Poppy isn't even following the flight of the ball. He doesn't have to. As a long time baseball fan, he knew that Pujols had crushed the ball as soon as he made contact. So did I.

My guess is, based on what had just occurred, coupled with the position of his mouth, that Poppy is saying "Noooooooooooooooooooo!"

. . .play St. Louis in the World Series. Cubs fans would be besides themselves!

15. I-55 Series
I'd be lovin' an I-55 Series.

Of course I think the Cards would win. :-)

It's not like there could be an I-55 series against the Cubbies.

Cubs had their chance to shut down the ASStros and keep them out of the playoffs, but they choked. What's news.

I think every Cards fan would rather be playing the Phillies that the ASStros.

Against the Phillies or the Braves, the Cards would have already taken the NLCS.

Trouble w/ the ASStros ... they don't get intimidated, but that may have changed. Back to Busch stadium. That's b-u-s-C-h!

The playing field has been leveled.

18. Pujol's Shrub Supporter
Blinded by the Christian Reich no doubt.

Like sooooo many other Christians in America.

If he ever REALLY asks himself WWJD ... he can't actually tell himself that Jesus would support Bush!

I mean, would Jesus put depleted uranium in weapons?

Albert, like many other Americans, could finally be seeing the true Bush after what happen in NOLA.

Many are finally taking their heads out of the sand. Especially those who aren't white.

19. hard to say...
It could be because he's a multimillionaire and likes his greedy tax cuts. I'm not sure Pujols is a fundie - I guess it's possible.

17. I was enjoying the game
Until they cut to poppy and the bitchwolf. I'm like you I'd love to see poppy and mommie get their just desserts, but, if i have to settle for a little mental pain delivered at the hands of an opposing teams batter, then I'll take it.
