Hannah/Wurmser/Bolton: Check this out from 08/04 on DU !
Look at the third paragraph in the linked post by H2o Man. Damn DU is good!

Last week's news indicated that a White House official named John Hannah was turning state's evidence in the grand jury investigation of the leaking of Plame's identity. Hannah has reportedly implicated Lewis "Scooter" Libby, the top assistant to VP Dick Cheney.

The Plame investigation appears to be the thread that has unraveled the criminal fabric of the Bush administration. The tattered patch of the newest scandal merely shows the extent of their criminal behaviors. Even some on the "mainstream" news shows, such as right-wing commentator Patrick Buchanan, have expressed shock at the extent that this will damage the administration.

This paper will attempt to identify some of the key players that we should see being arrested, tried, and convicted of the most serious of crimes against our nation, and to clarify the new scandal as more of an American constitutional crisis than an Israeli spy scandal.

"John Hannah and David Wurmser, mid-level political appointees in the vice president's office, have both been suggested as sources of the leaks. I don't know either, though at the time, Wurmser, a prominent neoconservative, was working as a special assistant to John Bolton at the State Departmenty." -- Wilson, page 445.

3. Although I've Suggested Andy Card on Occasion
I think it's likely that the flipper is more likely to be a second- or third-tier person who either isn't well known or is not mentioned very often. Sort of like Mark Felt.

4. Bummer that he missed on the "3 pre-election indictments" prediction
Still, an admirable degree of accuracy, 14 months ago.

6. The wheels of justice do grind slowly
Let us hope they grind exceptionally fine, in this case.

8. Isn't it funny how all these supposedly recent rumors...
Hannah flipping, Fitz focusing on Cheney's office, etc...were all being discussed on DU last year?! This is stretching out very long, but I think the end is in sight, at least for the first round of indictments.

10. Out of curiosity,
what was the "last week's news", in the quote:
Last week's news indicated that a White House official named John Hannah was turning state's evidence in the grand jury investigation of the leaking of Plame's identity. Hannah has reportedly implicated Lewis "Scooter" Libby, the top assistant to VP Dick Cheney.

bcz, no offense to H20Man, Raw Story, or Newsday, if it was in the "news" a year+ ago that Hannah was "turning state's evidence" (a year+ ago)... then where's the scoop today?

11. Fair question.
It could be that someone else has confirmed something he said, for example. I haven't had time to read Raw Story yet. But I always respect their work.

12. Also,
This whole thing has been so egregiously under-reported by the corporate media that it might as well be a scoop, even if it is technically old news.

But it raises the question: if Hannah turned state's evidence a year ago, wouldn't that have be the meat of Fitz's case?

Has this long wait for the Miller/Cooper testimony just been for icing on his indictment cake? Or is it more substantive?

13. Sure.
Of course, he had an extended wait while the federal appeals courts decided Cooper and Miller's case(s). And I agree about it being under-reported. In fact, I don't think there were any news articles that made any comment about Hannah's testimony last year. (grin)

14. When this is over I'm going to miss the intrigue.
All the googling to figure out who these characters were and how they fit together. Supposing there will be indictments perhaps we should shine some light on the Brewster Jennings angle and WMD trafficing. I'm sure some reporters lurk here and maybe we can give them a few hints once there is blood in the water and they feel they can report again.

It took Watergate a while to get going too as I recall.

15. Never fear.. Republicans never really "go away", and most live to
smear another day.. We will have years ahead of us to keep digging the dirt..:(

Dems (usually) are too timid to ever REALLY take care pf them, so they just slink off to lick their wounds, and scheme for their eventual return ..
