How far will Fitzgerald go? What if some Democrats get indicted too?
Edited on Tue Oct-18-05 01:25 PM by NNN0LHI
Never thought of that did ya? I did. This guy Fitzgerald appears to be widening his probe. I bet there are some Dem's sweating right now if this investigation is going into all the people involved in propagating the phony reasons for starting a war. Because I don't think it was all Republicans doing that. How far will Fitzgerald go? That is the real question right now.

37. Amen. A dirty politician is a dirty politician is a dirty politician.
We have our work cut out for us cleaning up this hugh11!11 mess compliments of Chimpy and his cohorts. If some dirty Dems are caught in the net, too bad, so sad, all the crooks, liars and thieves need to go directly to jail, do not collect $200 and leave the rest of us the hell alone. We need to clean our house of all morally and ethically challenged people NOW.

Besides - that is one major difference between a Dem and repug - we honestly believe in good government and the concept is completely foreign to today's GOP. The repugs will condone any behavior as long as they don't get caught and can retain power - ex. Bush, Cheney, Rove, Libby, Powell, Miller, Novak, Matalin, DeLay, Frist, the list is endless.

10. Since this probe has little or nothing to do with the lies...
that got us into the war, I doubt they're sweating too much. It's about outing a CIA agent, remember?

In any case, in the unlikely event that there were Democrats involved in the scandal -- unlikely because this spectacularly partisan White House wouldn't involve them in any case -- then I say they should go down too.

Prosecutor widening CIA leak probe
By Caroline Daniel and Edward Alden in Washington
Published: October 18 2005 03:00 | Last updated: October 18 2005 03:00

Evidence is building that the probe conducted by Patrick Fitzgerald, special prosecutor, has extended beyond the leaking of a covert CIA agent's name to include questioning about the administration's handling of pre-Iraq war intelligence.

According to the Democratic National Committee, a majority of the nine members of the White House Iraq Group have been questioned by Mr Fitzgerald. The team, which included senior national security officials, was created in August 2002 to "educate the public" about the risk posed by weapons of mass destruction on Iraq.

Mr Fitzgerald, who has been applauded for conducting a leak-free investigation, has said little publicly about his 22-month investigation, other than that it is about the "potential retaliation against a whistleblower", Joseph Wilson.

I sure haven't heard of any. No Dems in WHIG or OSP.

Do you mean the Dems in congress who authorised the Iraq resolution? Don't see how they would be implicated in orchestrating or propogating anything.

If evidence points to a Dem doing something illegal, then I say, whatever. Get rid of them too, they get what they deserve, but I doubt the admin. would ever trust any Dem to be involved in their machinations.

54. I agree on the first question, but not on the second.
"How far will Fitzgerald go?" -- This question should be posed in reference to how HIGH Fitzgerald will go in this administration with any charges filed.

"What if some Democrats...?" -- Yeah, well, what if they do? They'd necessarily be low-level Dems. This administration doesn't tolerate Outsiders very well. Everyone is expected to toe the party line and be loyal to the admin. Hell, these people don't pay any attention to lobbyists unless they, too, are Republicans. You think they will have a possible Dem in their number who might betray them and their plans??? You will not likely find any Dems involved with this.

So, I think your second question is somewhat irrational... Unless you can find some way a Dem might be connected, the only Dem I know of who is involved with this in any way at all is Joe Wilson. And do you honestly believe for one second that he outed his own wife??? thus, I say, irrational.

80. i do not care about the parties right now..i want truth..truth a thing
that has been missing in this country for 5 years...i don't care who the hell he gets...as long as he gets everyone involved in the destruction of our national security! and those who took our country to war based on lies and has now been repsonsible for the deaths and wounding of our soldiers and innocent iraqi's!
i want them to get the max available by law..i want them held to the same standard as aldrich ames, robert hansen, and the walkers..this is just that serious! and should be regarded that seriously!
look the rosenbergs were given the death penalty for no less..and they were convicted not in war time..and they did not take us to war on lies!

i want who is responsible exposed and on a silver platter for all the world to throw stones at!!
then i want an apology from every american who called themselves patriots when those of us who did our homework knew this entire war was nothing but filthy lies and they had the nerve to call us traitors!~!!..i want them to beg at my feet for forgiveness for what they have ignorantly done to my nation!

i want that apology on a siver freaking platter..then, and only when i have thought long and hard about it will i ..maybe accept their apology!!

but they will owe that apology first to those who served this nation based on lies and then they will owe the apology to those families who lost their children in this lie of a war..then they owe an apology to my children for the debt and the disgrace our nation has been put under because of these lying fuckers!
