5. Condi, Condi, Condi--the Two Percent Solution, herself! |

Loyal, controllable, malleable. And no doubt he thinks that would help his two percent rating with the segment of our population of African descent, and perhaps give him a chunk of the "unthinking female" vote as well.

Condi is really the only babaysitter left as long as she didn't sell someone down the river too. This republican corrupt group has gone for fashionable fall prison pinstripes in a BIG way!

6. I don't believe he will get the chance. |

I'm convinced Bush is now in danger too. That's why they are trying to toss Cheney to the wolves.
They are in survival mode, which means that Fitzgerald must have the goods on the President.
They wouldn't toss Cheney to save Rove, that's for sure.

Cuz I heard Bill Gates and his ilk saying that the Americans just aren't up to snuff educationally. You know, we have to stay competitive in this global market.

18. Would you call supporters of the Governor of MS 'BARBOURIANS'? |
|
They oppose a woman's right to choose, support turning public education money into payoffs for Falwell, oppose extension of the Voting Rights law, oppose safety nets for the poor, oppose increasing minumum wages, incarcerate double-digit percentages of their African-American men, etc. Sounds pretty barbaric to me.

14. NONE are good for us Dems |
|
This could be a real "silk purse" from a "sow's ear" moment for the Republicans. We were looking forward to a more level playing field because there was neither an incumbent nor a "crown prince" in waiting (VP)in '08. If this goes down, then they will groom the next guy maticulously for the next 3 1/2 years. You can bet that we will see and hear more about the person and from them than Bush over that time period until the Amurekan people just take it for granted that they are the NEXT president. Much as I loath the slimebag, I'd sooner have him stay.

15. Depends on Bush's Strategy |
|
Nixon chose Gerald Ford at least partly because he was not perceived as presidential. ("Can you imagine Jerry Ford sitting in this office?") That was supposed to guard against impeachment, since Nixon was basically threatening to replace himself with someone perceived as incompetent. Obviously it didn't work.
But maybe Bush will still be inspired by Nixon and appoint someone like Bolton. Now THAT would present a dilemma!
