US deteriating infrastruction (such as dams). I have been watching |
|
msnbc on and off last hour. They are afraid some dams burst. They also talked of the many dams that were built in the 1800s. Mass. has a 'fix it first' policy before new dams, roads are built.
this is another instance of the weather exposing our bad our infrastructure is (and no money available).

3. Of Course The Republicans Will Blame Clinton |
|
Of course, right-wingers and their Republican allies will blame former president Clinton for any casualties caused by our crumbling infrastructure--and all too many credulous voters as well as the corporate media will overlook the fact that the Republicans have had their hands on appropriations since they took control of Congress in 1995.
I am again facing the ugly fact that literally thousands more of our American countrymen and countrywomen will have to die before the American electorate wises up to the true nature of today's crop of "conservative" Republican.
Thousands died on September 11th. Nearly two thousand more have died in Dubya's "W" ar in Iraq. Thousands more have died in New Orleans. Thousands more are quietly dying as a result of relaxed pollution law enforcement and this mal-administration's unwillingness to promote less-polluting technologies and unwillingness to clean up toxic messes.
