2 Men Enter, 1 Man Leaves: Cheney vs Rove
I think part of what's going on now with an apparent "flip" in the white house is a battle between Cheney and Rove over who will take the fall for Plamegate.

Cheney and Rove strike me as the two most similar WH figures in regard to ambition and amorality (and perhaps pathology). Now they're like 2 men in a lifeboat for 1, and neither will fall on his own sword.

If someone in the WH flipped it's because Cheney made him (or her) a deal in exchange for taking out Rove.

4. Yup Thunderdome match them all until only one is left!
Then Thunderdome that person with Saddam! It would be a ratings king! Richard Dawson would roll over in his grave.

3. From the standpoint of what is constitutionally best
there is no question--Cheney wins. Frankly, I have no doubt that R*ve can continue to provide the "service" he is giving whether he's in prison or not. Look at JMiller--she had scads of visitors, special phone calls, conferences in the library--. Give the guy a cell (heh! Heh!) phone and he'll be happy as ever.
History will be able to forget R*ve easier than it will forget a Veep who resigns in a cloud of question marks.

5. Nah, they are both going down.
I'm convinced Fitzgerald is going after everyone.

He will go after Bush too.

6. I think both guys are egomaniacs, and COULD both lose!
You say it's one or the other. I think they would rival each other, and use every attck possible to take out the other one, which in the end could destroy them both!

After all, back when they had shootouts at high noon on main st. there were times when both guys fired, hit each other, and both died!
