1. don't take joy in other people's sorrow and pain.... |
|
take joy that injustices are being righted. It's the same thing and comes entirely guilt-free!

Revel in the anticipation of wrongs being righted, but take extreme joy in having bad things happen to bad people. May their downfalls hurt them in the most personal ways, based upon their own egotistical fears of inadequacy.
Assholes need to be destroyed. One should take greater joy in knowing that the evil they've wrought will come to an end, but one should take personal revenge joy knowing that their personal evil is consuming them. These people have ruined many lives and profited from it. It would be just fine to see DeLay imprisoned just before he's diagnosed as having a horribly painful and disfiguring disease brought on by the pesticides he fought so hard to not have regulated.
The sheer moral ugliness of a Tom DeLay is not to be taken lightly. He is a selfish hypocrite who's fucked over his own family and associates as he strives for compensatory power. As someone not as well-born as he'd have liked, he's used his power to force others to do his bidding and bend to his will. The sheer joy he gets from crushing others and getting his way is beyond sociopathic; this is a truly disgusting figure. Robespierre was a much better human being.
If one enjoys the embarrassing failure of a moral criminal, it's not a blot on one's karma. Life is not just passive; being active is a good thing, and actively hounding a monstrous thug is good.

13. That rant reminds me of Bluto's rant against Dean Wormer |
|
Bluto: What? Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no! And it ain't over now. 'Cause when the going gets tough . . . the tough get going. Who's with me? Let's Go! Come on! AAAAEEEEEGGGHHHH!!

The last time I felt this good, the Red Sox had just won the World Series! After five (or more) years of suffering, I don't feel one bit of guilt! It's a thing of beauty!
