20. A Very Good Friend of Mine Who Never Political

recently sent this to me -

"Looks like Rove is out of the loop and the end is near
for Bush. Rove would've never let Bush pick Miers and
Rove would've never let the preperation for that
staged press conference with the soldiers get out.
I can almost imagine it.
Bush realizes that he's just a patsy for Rove and Cheney
and Rumsfield and Condi.
He's gets all indignant and pouty.
"I'm a growned-up,dammit! I can do stuff, I'm smart.
I'll show them. All you big bullies get outta my oval office!
I'ma gunna run this country! After all, I'm almost the
president!".
And Cheney and Rove say "screw it, if he wants to hang
himself let's give him the rope
(I never liked him much anyways)."
And this is what we get. Lowest approval rating for
him ever and we just topped over 50% of the country
thinking that the war is a bad idea (and that number
is climbing daily).
Maybe that one guy was right. We hadn't suffered
enough under the repugnicans in the last election and
it would take 4 more years of grief and strife to make
people see the light. All I know is that it looks
like the lights coming.

I figured that Rove has been so busy trying to figure out a way to keep his butt out of jail that he didn't have time to do PR for Bush.

8. Oh please - think. For 5 or 6 days Tweety has been spinning

for Bush/Rove section of the WH in setting up a feud between B/R and Cheney/Libby. Purpose being that Bush can say that C/L lied to me and I didn't know. Tweety and Fineman are doing the work requested of them by Andy Card - its late in the game but working nevertheless given the number of people even on DU that are buying into some sort of Tweety change of heart.

Now, Tweety is over-hyping what is coming down the road so that when it is not as bad as he is currently acting like it is going to be we (the citizens) will be greatly releived and go back to our day to day lives having dodged a major bullet. And Tweety will go on jerking off for the boys in the big white house.

17. That's a reach. I welcomed the discussion. Bush can't effectively

distance himself from Cheney. If Cheney goes down, there's nothing Bush can do to stop the tide from turning against him. If it's just Libby, then they recover. I welcome any and all speculation regarding Cheney's involvement.
