3. I got my first VCR

in about 1986, never had more than a few tapes until we moved to Wa DC and Melodie started working for the House of Rep (for those of you too young to remember, the Democrats used to be in the majority there :))

We taped the entire Iran Contra hearings, innaugurals, Dem Conventions (I think the tape ran out on Clinton's speech to the 88 Convention ... loooong) We did this so our kids would have them when they grew up. Now they are grown up, and most of these things have been taped over or lost.
