1. I figure Fitzgerald is working hard to convince the GJ NOT to indict |
|
Bush, like Jaworski did over Nixon with the GJ back during Watergate

4. Because the Constitution calls for impeachment? |
|
Edited on Wed Oct-19-05 09:34 PM by merbex
and so he'll be an unindicted co-conspirator?
Impeachment won't happen till Repug Congressmen and women return home to their districts and see dismal poll numbers and hear from their constituents regarding this matter
THEN we'll have impeachment - otherwise we wait till a NEW DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS IS CONVENED Jan 07
Please God fix ballot box monkey business!

5. It is the position of the DOJ that a sitting president cannot be indicted |
|
There is no court precedent to back that up, but since an opinion written by Nixon's Solicitor General, Robert Bork, this has been the position of the DOJ.

8. I believe he was "questioned"by Fitzgerald WITHOUT being |
|
put under oath
Nixon never went before a GJ and I believe he was named as an unindicted co-conspirator

11. DeLay was never called before the Texas Grand Juries |
|
and he received two indictments.
The only thing that somebody who is not called to testify before the grand jury cannot be indicted for is committing perjury in testimony before the grand jury!

Edited on Wed Oct-19-05 10:01 PM by Walt Starr
because what you just stated is a heeping pile of steaming bullshit!
Nobody has to "go before the grand jury" in order to be indicted. I don;t know who told you that piece of shit lie, but they were out of their fucking minds!

2. What a great catch! I think always that I wish I was there, |
|
but it must be something like a pilot's credo (to paraphrase): Hours of unending boredom followed by seconds of sheer terror. I'm thinking it's getting good now, finally.

3. I don't think I'd be pissed, |
|
just really, really tired. But I hope I'd take satisfaction from knowing that I was doing the right thing for all the right reasons. Everyone on the grand jury is a true :patriot:
