Microsoft Permatemp Suit: Money Gained, Labor Lost?
After thirteen years, the checks are finally in the mail. In 1992 a group of contract workers at Microsoft filed suit, claiming they were unfairly excluded from employee benefit and stock programs. 1. I was one of those "plaintiffs"
Apparently, my contract with Microsoft was timed just right. A few years ago, I got notice that I would automatically be included in the class-action unless I opted out (I didn't.)

It will be interesting to see how much my check is for a six month contract, after legal fees. I just might be able to afford dinner out at Red Robin. With a friend, maybe, provided we don't order booze. :eyes:

2. I'm in too....
I understand that the "formula" is complex, however the local news in Seattle reported the "average check" at $8,000, much less than I was hoping after many years of contract work from 1986-1993....

Good luck, let's keep our fingers crossed.
