Notice how the leak story is framed to exclude W?
It's very clever.

It's just like the way they limited the discussion to "16 words" in the State of the Union address.

Bush is always excluded from any suspicion in the coverage of the Plame matter. No one to date has raised the question of his participation in the acts that allowed the leaks.

It's every clever framing.

1. Yeah, and I don't believe for 1 minute he chewed Rove out about
the Plame matter a couple of years ago.

Aren't they pushing that story?

Like Rove is a naughty widdle boy and Dubya is Ward Cleaver.

Give me a break.

2. Yep that is how it is being done.
The only question being put out there is whether or not ** was truthful when he was questioned about his knowledge by federal agents.

9. Of course, Bush was NOT testifying under oath
Kind of makes you wonder what he's hiding, doesn't it?

12. It still is illegal to lie to federal agents. It is called obstruction.

5. Blatant. Especially since this kind of vicious attack's right up * alley
Rove's too, but he wouldn't pull it without permission.

I think they are allowing it to heat up in the press because they've targeted Cheney. Easy toss, no one likes him anyway. Or his acid wife.
Let's face it, Rummy and Cheney must be major disappointments to the idealogues. Not to the looters, of course. They're heroes to the looters. The looters children will sing songs of glory about them.
Notice Cheney's no longer running for pres in '08. That was being dangled in the press awhile ago, now Lynne specifically states he won't run. Too late Lynne.
Cheney probably really thought he was in with the bfee. Fool should've been satisfied to retire with his millions.

6. Protect W.
It was no different in 1973 and 1974. You pull together and protect the top guy. I'm not trying to defend them, but that's what they are going to do. If one or two of them have to fall on their swords, that will happen, too. Just like it did in Spring, 1973. It bought Nixon a year plus a few months.

We've all been through this before. When it comes down to brass tacks, the only things that matters is what Fitz does and what Congress does in response.

10. bush is in a bubble. Rove is a prick.
Bubble, meet prick. Prick, meet bubble.

They can't sustain the illusion forever. Something's going to pop.

11. But it doesn't exclude him.
If he knew who exposed this CIA agent and has lied to the public about for 2 years, it doesn't exclude him.
