Wow.
I always knew it could happen, and she admittedly did something "not that smart", but this is rediculous.
A 12 year old in a local Jr. High School wrote an essay calling for the government to allow killing of two people per person. Tops on her list was George W. Bush.
So after a 1 week investigation by the secret service, she can return to school -- but is still going to be charged with terroristic acts.
This was reported on a local NBC affiliate, and I will post a link when our newspaper publishes the info (if ever).

I mean, after all, he's a responsible adult.

3. I've taught my children to be careful what they say |
|
we discuss politics and our feelings, they are 14 and 12 so they are old enough to begin developing their critical thinking skills. And from time to time they will say something negative about the regime that they think might get my approval.
On occasion one of them has expressed her thoughts on what she thought should happen to GWB and I've always told her to be careful who you say those kind of things to as she could be hauled away for it.
It's a shame that they have nothing better to do but to go after 12 year olds with terrorism charges, but I guess it's an indication that they're really scrapping the bottom of the barrel in their quest to justify their ongoing war.

4. Do you have a link for this article? |

What is so astonishing ... is that I remember when I was 12 years old - I was still interested in playing 'pretend games' with my brother and sisters - using a sheet to parachute off the roof of the garage, building tree houses and playing 'Zorro', etc.
This article is very disturbing to me in more ways than just what is going on with our government.

that anything perceived as a threat to the Presidents life has to be taken seriously, charging that person as a TERRORIST is, to be civil, asinine
