and on another note.... I can't help but feel some of DU's posters are sounding more and more like those people that post over at that place which shall not be named. Not so much in what they say, but the judgemental attitude that prevails against those that dissent about accepted memes. Could it be that we here at DU are becoming victims of our own group think?

Even among true lefties, there are over 70,000 users at DU. We will not all agree, just because you see a few over-the-top posts, doesn't mean the majority feels the same way. Most of the time, if I see a flame-war, even if I don't agree, I just check another thread, no time for that stuff.

Also, I think the comparison to Free Republic in this thread is highly inflammatory. The fact that someone does not consider Wayne Madsen reliable does not make them close-minded or a freeper.
