TOLD YOU SO!" Yet, after all the revelations through seemingly mountainous documentation from people working with this white house (tell all books from economic policy to war crimes), and now finally the MSM providing the coverage on stories they had a available to them 2-4 years ago (depending upon the scandal) I just feel deep sorrow for my fellow citizens. That sorrow then swells a bit to gallows humor, just to stave off my pain. But then the gallows humor turns into my penchant for satire, and this makes my pain for them go away. Then that satire turns to bitterness and all I want to do is scream "I TOLD YOU SO!" At this point I stop myself and slip back into satire and in the spirit of a post I read on DU earlier. I'll just say....

YOU'RE ASSESS GOT PUNKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But that wouldn't be productive. They're recovery requires empathy in their time of loss.

3. Speaking to the choir? Many saw it in 2000 when $$$ poured in to bush.
Those of us who suffered through Reagan's recession realized when the money started pouring in at Record levels to this twit from Texas America was in trouble.

Now, five years later, 61% of Americans see the proof. Unfortunately, 39% are still undermining our country by supporting the Texas traitors.

5. The "I told you so" dance
Edited on Thu Oct-20-05 10:44 AM by MindPilot
My ex and I had a ritual we called the "I told you so" dance. If in fact one of us had actually told the other so, the tellee had to stand in the middle of the room while the teller danced around pointing and singing "I TOLD YOU SOOOOOOO!!!" Sometimes the tellee would have to be nekkid.:evilgrin:

I envision a million-of-us we-told-you-so dance around the Whitehouse.
:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

On edit: Hey Mods, can we have an "ITYS" smilie?

6. I've Done It
To a couple of folks at work that have flipped and to my mom. I know it's juvenile and i should be above that, but those were some awfully satisfying "I told you so" moments.

11. Well, I'm In A Comfortable Position
I've made my political leanings clear for many years. And, as one of the corporate eggheads, nearly everybody might need my help some day, so i don't get much flak. And the rank & filers are folks i've always gotten along swimmingly with, and they're union, so we're probably mostly on the same page, too. (Lots of Kerry-Edwards stickers on cars last year.)

There are dumbass conservatives, but i'm a nasty sort, so nobody wants to get into it with me. That would make gloating on my part a little superfluous.

15. Say it to the right persons
I would say that would include the sanctimonious, insufferable types who were so mocking about "Get over it" from the time the Supreme Court decided the 2000 election on. There are lots of folks who just plain don't pay attention and make their decision on election day based on the last lie they heard. It might be more useful to say to those people "Pay attention! Some of this is important."

But for the media whores and the presstitutes, I say give no quarter. So many of us, armed with nothing more than a little spare time and a dial-up modem, have kept abreast of so much of this corruption and cynical manipulation, it's impossible for the overpaid chattering classes to be as ignorant as they've feigned to be over the last five years. They need "I TOLD YOU SO" screamed into their insipid faces over and over again.
