We Deserve Better
We as Americans, Democrats, human beings deserve better than what is currently going on in our White House and Congress.

We deserve better than the Majority Leaders in the House and Senate being investigated for corruption.

We deserve better than an Administration that lies to get us into a war.

We deserve better than an Administration that uses secret information to "Out" a person who is exposing its lies.

We deserve better than a President and Congress that wants to pass 75 billion dollar tax cut for the rich and a 50 billion dollar cut in social service spending to those in the most need.

Please fill in more for me.

1. We deserve better
than Democrats in government simply parrotting the neocon line on the Iraq War.

We deserve better than a FEMA agency headed by cronies with no experience who keep help away which results in the death and suffering of hundreds of people.

We deserve better than the hypocrisy we see in the Bush Administration and the "religious" right wing.

5. I'm more inclined to the "Can Do" Better
theme that they're running and hope they keep it up; keep it the theme vs. 'deserve' better.

"Deserve" associated sense of entitlement. While I agree we DO DESERVE better, in terms of the theme and reaching out, "can do better" is promising, looking at the future, and motivational to work for progress.

One more thing: we need to start talking (hearing from the Democratic voices) in terms of forward-looking language. Instead of "take back" America, we should stress a phrase and use associated words of progress, advancement, opportunity, promise, hope and fulfillment. :) IMO, that will resonate and we WILL take back the country moving it toward tomorrow's promise.

6. Two parts
Part one, Drive up the negatives.

Part Two, Show that we, Democrats can and have done better.

7. Exactly!
There's a record that can't be denied. Exploit the corruption and incompetence of the Republicans. The short-sided, scotch tape solutions negatively impacting the country. Policies that are shifting the Middle Class downward. Expose them for trying to turn our friends and neighbors into Mrs. Cravitz by fanning the flames on cultural and social issues. Put a huge spotlight on the hypocritical hyperbole of "tax relief". There's so much there.

The success record of Democrats is fact as opposed to the fantasy of Republicans.

8. Not real good at "Framing" an issue
They did not teach it at the high school I graduated from. I am a red meat Democrat. Keep the issues simple to me.

We need in part one to say something about their incompetent and corrupt leadership.

Should it be we expect better leadership and then follow with how Democrats can in part two?
