Bush will be reeling from the indictments and won't have time to select someone. Whoever they finally choose will be someone that they think will help them in their situation. If Bush loses everyone but the rw religious nut base, it will be a rw religious nut. If the fundies decide he's not the Second Coming but the anti-Christ, the selection will be someone very very pro corporations, the only part of the base remaining.
