7. I'm trying to figure out what is wrong with this face

DeLay always looked odd to me. Something not quite right but could not put my finger on it.
Maybe it's the eyebrows. It looks like he's had them over waxed -- look where they start. Shouldn't they start closer to the inside of the eye?
Maybe it's the teeth. Are they dentures? They don't look real.
Maybe it's the hair. He dyes it but in an unnatural color.

Put them all together and you have one weird plastic looking dude.

On an "average" person, the measurement between the eyes is one eye width. Ol' Tom's are a bit wider than that. On the right face it can be very becoming. When he was much younger the eyes, coupled with the grin probably gave him a boyish charm look. That worked for him and he's stuck with it ever since.

A lot of people wax their brows to open up their eyes. He overdid it, IMHO.

Put the best face you can on it. The eyes aren't always direct. There's a downcast look to them that doesn't quite match the smile. In the conflict, his fear emerges, teeth bared, upright, however, he seems to realize that he's going to have to pay some dues.
