Even freaking atheists celebrate Xmas. I'm as religious as the average rock, and it has always been a part of my life. Anyone who would take this turkey seriously has a hole in his or her head. A friend of mine used to work for him way back in the 90s and was trying to tell me he was a moderate, liberal guy. I told her he was a right-wing nut, if you watched what he said closely enough. I was right.

He must have seen everyone else making big bucks from the wingnuts, and hunted around for his own little corner of the Scaife gravy train. Watch, NewsMax will be giving it out with subscriptions, someone else will be mailing it to all their supporters as an Xmas present, etc., and Gibson will pocket a wad of cash, even though nobody will actually read the thing.

That is Easter.

What a jerk. I'm tired of all this Christmas back and forth. Starting already? I don't need a store clerk to say Merry Christmas to me. I try to avoid stores at Christmas, anyway.

The whole season is so overhyped with the secular aspect celebrated by everybody, that it has lost a lot of its appeal to me. I can't stand Santa Claus..never could. (Not that we didn't do the whole Santa schtick..we did.) I remember once when my kids were six and three, my son (the older) asked something about Santa, and not wanting to give it away to my younger daughter, I winked at him when I answered. Then when I said something about it being the birth of Jesus, he winked at ME! In other words, he figured I was lying about both of them.
