Tweety reveals all...he visited Miller in Jail and asked Matt Cooper...
"Do ya think they are going to go after the Press?" Cooper replied.."I don't know." (like what are you asking me that for? :eyes)

Tweety is working hard to call this story a FIVE on a scale of one to five. He said that since Scooter and Rove talking to each other about Plamegate before Joe Wilson wrote was just what goes on in Washington so why is Fitzgerald going after this? Nora O'Donnel replied that from what she's heard from people who know Fitz he's "Pious." Matthews laughed a snarky laugh and O'Donnel looked ready to have an orgasm. (I thought their reaction was weird...what's wrong with being pious...that means one has a deep conscience in my opinion and DC could use some conscience).

Tweety talked to Bill Press and Ed Rollins. Rollins is trying to spin that it's just politics as usual but it was stupid for them to bother with Wilson because it would have been a "One Day Story from Wilson about his wife." Then both of them talked about how Watergate brought down Nixon because he lied and that all politicians should have learned to tell the truth in front of Grand Juries because in the end it always hurts them.

John Fund and Kristine Vandenheuval were on and talking about the Rove /Cheney Cabal and Miers Nomination which they think will go down. Fund and Tweety think a Senior group of Senators need to go talk to Bush to keep Miers hearings from being a Fiasco! They don't think it will look good for Bush for her to be questioned (I assume because she's clueless).

There was alot more. Tweety must be worried he's on Fitz's list or something because he's working hard to expose that the BUSHIES SOLD THE WAR. Now maybe in his mind "selling a war" is the way he views it. Many of us view it as LYING to take the country to war. But the Media seems scared that the people may turn on them like Bush and I think the spin is working 24/7 for people like Tweety to try to have some credibility. He seemed to speak of Judy Miller with affection, though. :D

1. Tweety can put all the spin on his role as he wants, but when
the prosecutor asks him to come up with a corraborating witness to verify what Tweet's said, he'll be shit out of luck because NO ONE WATCHES HIS SHOW, so there was no one to hear what he said!!

9. Probably
working overtime a heck of a lot, too. I really noticed today because I've always felt she was a very beautiful woman.

Which kind of points out that as "gleeful" as we dems can get over current happenings, they are still kind of stressful. Scary, even.

Heck, you never know, she might even fear for her own safety.

12. Tweety is a RW shill and an asskisser.
He has delusions that he is a "reporter". The Corp. Media was not used by the Neo Fascists. The Corp. Media were complicit in the fraud and pundits such as Mathews, Mrs. GreenSPAM, Russert et al were willing accomplices in the Fraud of the illegal Invasion of Iraq. Now some are trying to soft pedal their complicity.

18. I don't think we will ever see that from either side. The spin will be
"They Sold the War." It's up to us out here and the honest reporters on the middle and left to keep the pressure on. Neither Dems nor Repugs want to be thrown out of office when the whole thing starts coming apart. It will be a fight to see who spins the best...sadly.

10. He didn't give Press much airtime. Press mostly agreed with Rollins
that if they lied to the Grand Jury they will go down. Rove and Libby. Rollins just kept saying over and over how stupid it was that they went after Wilson. Tweety tends to cut folks like Press and Vandenheuval off.

He also spent time with Dana Milbank (:puke: sorry I can't stand him) about his article about Rove and Libby talking before Wilson wrote his op ed. He had the reporter from AP on that broke the story and Tweety actually did a good job covering the story with him.

It was a BIG SHOW. He had alot of people on. And for Tweety (even though it's hard to listen to his bloviating) it did seem fair. At least it exposed it all. I don't know what Blitzer/CNN was doing because I've given up on him...probably Hurricane or Flu scare...

I was glad I watched it...but having some meds would be helpful. :D

13. they're reduced to the old saw that Rollins repeated about the coverup
being worse than the Crime

is that the biggest lie since "liberal media controls public opinion?"

it really wasn't true about Watergate, either, cause most people didn't bother to go beyond the surface crimes to what underlay the entire criminal Nixon enterprise....see Wars of Watergate: The Last Crisis of Richard Nixon, by Stanley Kutler.

Nixon was trying to do what they're ever so much closer to accomplishing today, and, if Fitzgerald doesn't stop him, it may be our last chance to avoid full on dictatorship

be interested in checking on how Judy was doing in the slammer. But, she did work in DC at one time and Matthews wife is a TV reporter so maybe they went to the same dinner parties.

Arianna has a photo up on one of her Huff Posts of Judy, Arianna, Maria Barteromo (CNBC reporter) and what looks like Christie Todd Whitman on a hike at a financial conference in Aspen, CO in 2002 where they are all gathered under the infamous Aspens "with the roots that grow in clusters."

So, these people all hob nob and party with one another. It might be innocent that Matthews visited her in jail or an attempt to get stories straight in code or something. I just don't see Tweety and Judy as buddies... but who knows.

16. Did Tweety say anything about HIS OWN TESTIMONY?
Tweety is pissing me the fuck off. You know perfectly well that he testified or at least TALKED to Fitzgerald because of that quote in Wilson's book! "Wilson's wife is fair game!" According to Wilson, Chris Matthews said that to him. You KNOW that Fitz at least ASKED Tweety about it.

But Tweety's still prancing around pretending that he's NOT a part of this story WHEN HE IS!

Grow some balls, Tweety, and TELL US WHAT YOU TOLD THE GRAND JURY!

Anyway, it sounds like a good show, I'll try to catch it when I get home. Thanks for the recap!

Edited on Thu Oct-20-05 06:00 PM by KoKo01
like he was trying to be Fitz himself. That was odd. I wondered if he was trying to trip Cooper up or to verify that Cooper talked to Rove and Rove said to him what he said to Tweety. I was worried that he would trip Cooper up and Fitz might throw in in jail for revealing testimony.

Matt Cooper was trying to be fair to Wilson according to what he told Tweety. Cooper said he wondered why the White House was "going after the guy." So sounds like Matt isn't a RW'er who was a mouthpiece for Rove.

There's something big coming in this city (Chris Matthews)

'Hardball' host Chris Matthews discussed the latest in the Plame leak case with MSNBC's Amy Robach on Wednesday morning. Here's an excerpt of what he had to say:

It's serious business.

It all begins with a big fight between the CIA and the White House, especially the vice president's office. Scooter Libby, his chief of staff, is also his WMD expert.

The vice president has made the case for war very effectively on programs like 'Meet the Press,' that we had to go to war with Saddam Hussein because he possessed the potential to make nuclear war against the United States - to somehow deliver a nuclear weapon to this country.

For a lot of people, that was the deal maker for the war. They had a lot of problems invading a third-world country, but they said 'Well, if he has a nuclear program over there that is threatening us, we have to act.'

Well, we got over there, and our troops took that country, and there was no WMD, no nuclear, no nothing, so there is a lot of concern about how we could have gotten into a war based on false pretenses.

To them it's just "Hard Ball Politics." They don't get that that's exactly what's wrong with this country. Everybody does it shouldn't be an excuse anymore. And, it sure wasn't with Clinton, was it.

Hypocrits, all. I can't wait until we get some new media in there. We've got a great group out here on the internet. If they could just get their foot in the door and sweep out the "Media Whores" who have been running the MSM for years.

Really, that's what he said. Matthews doesn't seem to have his porch bulb burning. I've decided he's kind of "challenged." With all he reported on that show how he could still say wistfully "he could bring his ratings back like Reagan did, if he brings in a new team" is just beyond me...

31. The "no big thing" defense
I'm so sick of the slimy repukes and the slimy media trying to reduce one thing after another to a "no big thing" joke....if it's implicating a republican, that is. And for Christsakes, it doesn't take a goddamn rocket scientist and never did to know that all the filthy cabal from Cheny and Scooter to Bush and Rove were in on lying about Iraq, falsifying info, covering up info, manufacturing info and having these media whores deliver the whole puking bowl of shit to the American people (while making sure that anyone with a brain who said "just a goddamn minute here" was painted as unAmerican filth). Wouldn't it just be the kitty cat's meow if in the end these media butt suckers got the big "thank you" for being their whores by ending up to their pits in trouble!!!
