... I realize that I am a bit of a fanataic about following political news, but every now and then I'm reminded that the rest of the country isn't quite so attentive.

Hard to believe, but there will be people out there scratching their heads for weeks, asking: "WTF?"

2. I am completely obsessed, and yet all around me

life goes on like the Bush regime is not about to come crashing down. It's weird - kind of like right after Gore's presidency was stolen. I kept wanting to jump up and scream "Our democracy has just been hijacked" while everybody just went on acting normal...

...only this time I guess I don't mind so much.

3. I anticipate the corporatists, the Usual Suspects,

will be backing their next best hope for suppressing democracy for all they're worth, pushing the elegibility of the Beltway brigade - anything to prevent Kerry's New Deal seeing the light of day!

I expect you'll be hearing a lot about Clark's prospects for leadership of the Democratic Party and, I hate to say it, because we all owe her and Bill, but Hilary, as well.

I've been completely obsessed with Plamegate for months now and it floors me to hear people I know say, "Who's Valerie Plame?" It just makes me want to scream and say, "DO YOU NOT REALIZE THIS IS THE BIGGEST PRESIDENTIAL SCANDAL IN U.S. HISTORY???? Pay attention!!!"
