Why are we all of a sudden hearing about the secret investigation? |
|
Up until a week ago all anyone knew was how many times Rove and Judy were called in. The leaks were non-existent.
In the past few days, we seem to be getting a blow by blow description of what's going on.
Why did it all of a sudden change? Who is suddenly spilling all the beans and why? I hope it's all true but something smells fishy to me. I wonder if it's our fish or theirs?

2. I think the leaks are actually coming from the targets. |
|
They are desperately spinning and fabricating anything they can to point the finger at each other. It's now a war zone inside the White House.

3. The investigation is over in a week or so........... |

so we're getting down to the short strokes here. It's either going to heat up or cool down at this point. The inside scoop seems to be that it is going to heat up, WAY UP! That's why we're getting all the play here lately, the MSM is licking their chops in hopes of a juicy bush blow-up.

4. One of two reasons: Either |
|
someone is allowing leaks to prepare the nation for a major upheaval, or Rove is trying to make it seem as extreme as possible so when it comes out that only he and Libby have been indicted, everyone will think it's a small thing compared to what they expected.
Or else people on the fringes of the case are just guessing. But since they haven't been ordered to silence, I think there's a reason behind it.

6. The idea that the targets are trying to create a false impression ... |
|
sounds plausible. I'm not sure why they would want to but if they are, I'm sure it's not good for the country.
I'm holding back my enthusiasm until I see where this thing is really headed.

people who have already testified (journalists) can put two & two together and surmise. Perhaps too the WH is trying to let the air out slowly of their big huge yellow-bellied balloon. They have to have some knowledge in order to spew the "talking points" accurately enough to try and stave off damage.
