Why so many references to Gannon/Guckert re: Plamegate?

As far as I know, he's dropped off the radar everywhere but here. Has he even testified or anything? Has Fitz shown any interest in him? What am I missing?

1. Supposedly he interviewed Wilson early on and mentioned a

document he had seen.

2. He's somewhat connected to it

He interviewed Wilson at one point, and said he had seen a classified memo about Wilson getting sent to Niger on his wife's advice. Then later, when pressed about getting access to classified information, said that he had actually just been TOLD about the 'memo'.

I believe he has at least been interviewed by Fitzgerald early on. Don't know if it rose to the level of 'testimony'.

3. yes, Gannon says he spoke to the grand jury. He was the first to mention

a certain fictitious memo that supposedly he had seen which mentioned Valerie Plame's employment. He interviewed Joe Wilson days after the Novak article came out, and mentioned this memo. He wrote several Bush/Rove protecting articles about the Plame affair afterward.

He is ShrubbyScooterMcClellanRove's LUVVAH!!!

or something. Anyway he was at the Whitehouse way too much for a hooker, OR a RW journalist, and he's a paid propagandist for CheneyCo Inc.

I imagine his name might come up at some point. How seriously i can't even guess.
