1. I think they try not to publisize that. You never know who could be a
victim who isn't yet.

4. I'm pretty sure the CIA has done no damage assessment.
Can't tell you where I picked that up, but you'd think Cheney would have put the whammy on it at the time if one had been planned.

So how can Fitzgerald give a summary report if there was no damage report?

5. Classified
1. My dad flew a Naval Intelligence aircraft during WW2 - and when the aircraft went MIA the bastards didn't even look for it. It was purely some kind of Divine Intervention that Dad and his crew were found alive.

2. Naval Intelligence never told the real Navy about either the Liberty or the Pueblo.

3. If the CIA has to identify compromised agents they will either:
    a) Hold that part of the proceedings "In Camera" (in secret), or
    b) Dismiss the case.

6. I understand that most if not all of the 200 that were exposed by
Cheney/Novak are alive - but that is only rumor from folks who know no more than you or I, and whose only claim that I know of to anything is living in the Washington DC area..

Indeed I've heard 200 overseas and 40 in the US - all of whom were about to break the news of "big US Names" involved in WMD selling. - now that is something I wish someone who could prove it would say! :-)

Meanwhile all that WMD analysis and spying has ended - which is the only fact we know.

I wonder if the CIA will let the story be told?

For now we live on rumors.

11. We (the public) will never know...
As a matter of fact, Larry Johnson talked about this just a short while ago on Majority Report.

He said he's not even sure if the Damage Assessment Report has been written yet, which is sad.

12. But, whether agents were impaired or even killed or not, Plame's
intelligence apparatus is obviuosly inoperative now, right? As I understand it, her job was to account for various components of WMDs. Their part in that can no longer be carried out. Shouldn't that be regarded as an INCREASE in danger to the U.S.?

14. ...a death may have occured
I ran across this:
"A possibility has been raised by several sources that a death may have occurred as a result of this leak. Under the Espionage Act, this could lead to a death penalty case. The CIA Wall of Honor has stars representing agents killed on duty. Named stars are used where information is not classified, and anonymous stars are used when the agent's name cannot be released. Below the stars is a chronological Book of Honor. An anonymous star was added to the wall between named stars that can be dated to deaths on February 5, 2003 and October 25, 2003. The anonymous star thus fits the timing of the Plame leak."

17. Won't happen
In Bush World, with Justices Roberts, Scalia, Thomas, Miers, and Gonzales, there is blanket immunity for Bush, Cheney, Rove, Rummie, Wolfie, Libby, etc.

Now, if they can blame the leak on some low level grunt, like Spec Charlie Greiner or Specialist Lynne England ......

16. Well the fellow said most of the 200 lived - a curious choice of words
at the time!

Indeed early stories, quickly pulled, listed out some folks in other nation's governments who were spotlighted by the revelation - and in deep trouble at home.
