1. Me too.
It is so unusual to see any of "them" act anything like an ordinary person.

2. And what Americans DON'T know......
is that Dean HAD to scream to make himself be heard over the crowd noise. The MSM conveniently cut THAT little bit OUT of the "Dean Scream", didn't they? :grr: Fuckers. If America saw and heard that speech in real time they'd understand why he had to "scream", but they were never given that chance and never will I wager. It's much more convenient for the DLC candidates who hardly ever raise their voices above a whisper for anything, especially when it comes to confronting bush.
Yeah, Dean screamed. So what? Fucking DLC and MSM, they can all kiss my ass!

3. Yep
You can see it here: http://www.valuejudgment.org/

It really is amazing personally. And what's really sad is how it's because of a scream people make it out like he's crazy. I mean good grief. It's a rally!!! What do you expect? :eyes:

4. What Americans haven't seen ...
Edited on Thu Oct-20-05 08:41 PM by NanceGreggs
... I am an American living in Canada, and the first time I saw the now-famous 'Dean Scream' speech was on a Canadian TV newscast -- except that the background noise was included. You can barely make out what Dean is even saying - the crowd noise was THAT LOUD!

I was pretty horrified to see it again that night on a US TV station (with the crowd noise carefully mixed out). The next time you see that tape, watch the background -- there are people yelling, cheering and clapping their hands, stamping their feet. They are literally within a few feet of Dean (and his microphone).

Ask yourself how it's possible to have one lone speaker yelling at a thousand decibels, when the crowd a few feet away CANNOT BE HEARD at all ...

5. Right, Howard was mic-ed and the room wasn't, so we hear
Howard without the contextual noise.

Even if that weren't true, even if he did scream "weird", what on Earth does it matter?

I thought this was one of the saddest experiences in the election cycle. It was so like the horrible scapegoating that goes on in our high schools. It just made me so sad for America.
