Remember the Cynthia McKinney wars?
Memories......................

Mike Malloy just talked about her fabulous, fantastic perfomance yesterday questioning Chertoff:

McKinney roils hurricane panel

Washington --- Rep. Cynthia McKinney (D-Ga.) asked Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff on Wednesday why he shouldn't be charged with negligent homicide for the federal government's apparent failure to save more Hurricane Katrina victims.

Pulling out a series of news reports as she questioned Chertoff during a House committee hearing, McKinney read the headline: "Nursing home owners charged in deaths," in the case of 34 residents who were not evacuated from the floodwaters in New Orleans.

"Mr. Secretary, if the nursing home owners are arrested for negligent homicide, why shouldn't you also be arrested for negligent homicide?" McKinney asked.

"It seems that chaos was the plan that was implemented," she said of the administration's slow response to the catastrophe. "Leadership, Mr. Secretary, was lacking."

33. Who is that idiot bully from Texas, Bonilla?
Edited on Fri Oct-21-05 03:14 PM by Ojai Person
He tried to dismiss Cynthia's questions as "over the top."

Jerk off. May he rot in hell.

42. Idiot * sycophant.
I saw him on the Daily Show once, pre-election, and he repeated the tired meme of Kerry being the most liberal senator. When Jon Stewart asked him about the source, Bonilla kept saying "I just heard it somewhere, it's true," or something to that effect without answering the question.

32. And add
a little black woman from the deep south. I loved when she confronted Rummy. ;) I would love either Boxer/McKinney or Pelosi/McKinney. Any of them three. They're all fabulous women and McKinney takes names and kicks ass.

got coverage on the local Los Angeles stations. Chertoff's facial reaction was priceless. And the republican (Buyer, The idiot from Indiana, that accused the LA Gov. of forgetting to add New Orleans on the emergency declaration and found out later BUSH forgot) marched his hoity toity self right down to Chertoff and DEMANDED that he see the documents. It was hilarious!

7. MeKinney was right all along. They paid outsiders to unseat her.
The very same cabal is controlling our government from inside Cheney's office. I hope the Plame incident takes them all down as they have taken down our country. Bush and the evangelicals don't have a clue!

She was talked about harshly when she challenged Bush on the the whole 9/11 disaster. I hope she does not let up on any of these people. I hope every chance she gets, she let them have it.

Go Cynthia!

her, particulary that Carlos asshole who is no longer with us. She has always been one of my favorites. I used to love listening to her when I would see her on C-SPAN back in the 90's when I used to watch C-SPAN all of the time. I was SO glad to see her back in office again. :thumbsup.

But would YOU ever win in Indiana??!!! I swear, I think that man wanted to bear Evan Bayh's child.
But enough sullying with giant wooden horses--great job Cynthia, and if Majette could run for the other big room in the Capitol, so can you!

15. She gave the BUSH KNEW meme national traction
all by herself. Those words were printed on the cover of the NY Post. And her compadres left her hanging. And plenty of knuckleheads here gnashed and wailed about her ruining the 2002 elections. It was fucked up. Utterly fucked up.

37. By the way, Cynthia NEVER said "Bush knew"!!!
She is a great, hard-working representative, and really stands up for her constituents.

But she never said that Bush had foreknowledge of 9/11. Read this article by Greg Palast. At one time, Palast was offering a reward to anyone who could prove that Cynthia McKinney said Bush knew about the 9/11 attacks ahead of time. Anyone who thinks they have the proof should get in touch with Palast: http://www.gregpalast.com/contact.cfm

But the best part? She got her seat back, in a hearty fuck-you to the rightwing and its ignorant enablers.

Go McKinney!
