I Hear Voices, I Hear Voices
When George Bush was asked today how distracting the scandal surrounding the White House has been, Bush said he's focused on the job of President, not the "background noise."

He commented "There's some background noise here, a lot of chatter, a lot of speculation and opining. But the American people expect me to do my job, and I'm going to."

Well Bushie dear, let me see if I've got this straight. Your most trusted adviser is facing indictment for his role in outing a covert CIA operative with unofficial cover. A federal prosecutor is trying to decide whether members of your Administration have committed perjury, obstruction of justice, and even treason. Members of your Administration have compromised national security because of their role in the outing of Valerie Plame. And that's just background noise to you? I suggest you listen in a little closer!

1. Where were you when my city in Mississippi was destroyed by the storm?
When you did show up, all you did was take pictures, while dead bodies were floating in the water and people were still dying.

4. He's got his top advisors under consideration of indictment
and he calls it background noise. Yes, indeed, another Nixon. The GOP culture of corruption on the move.

6. In a speech on October 5th, Bush said he was hearing voices
In a talk honoring the William F. Buckley and the National Review, George W. Bush said that "sometimes it's hard to be a leader because you hear all kinds of voices." I have no idea what he might have meant by that, but I hope it wasn't the psychotic ravings of a madman who has access to the nuclear button.

10. Ummm . . . Talks to God, hears voices, chatter in the background . . .
Sounds like time for a little 'medical leave' for stressed out bushie.

NOW!

(But anyone who has let him anywhere NEAR the button over the last 5 years is certifiably insane.)

7. Well, what's the problem? Shrub HAS been doing his job...
as he sees it anyway.

It's just that his idea of what his job consists of and the American people's concept of it are two entirely different things! Oh yeah, and WHO he's actually working for--he seems to be a bit confused about that one too.

9. That's like his "just a focus group" when 5 million marched against
the war. He thinks if he belittles it it will go away.
