"Protect Our Borders - Vote Republican"
Edited on Thu Oct-20-05 11:15 PM by SunDrop23
The NC GOP is passing out stickers at our State Fair this year with this slogan and others as noted in an earlier thread I started here.

The NC Dems are passing out stickers that say "Proud to be an NC Democrat."

7. We aren't in a sticker war with them at the fair, but what they have done
is to master the ability of saying outlandish and divisive shit and not get called on it by that "liberal" media.

19. Not really
They have a message - and a popular one for NC. It doesn't matter that it's a lie. A good comeback might have been: 5 years of Republicans in every branch, are they protecting our borders yet?

24. I disagree.
Republicans are using fear (what else is new), what you're suggesting is to come up with a slogan that's equally scurrilous. Sorry, we're better than that.

6. What borders? South Carolina, Virginia? Or do they mean to prevent
anyone from leaving NC?

The Dems need a sticker: Protect our borders. Keep our jobs from crossing them.

9. Protecting the borders... ROTFLMAO!!!!
That is why the Feds have waived proving eligibility to work in the US for reconstruction of the Gulf Coast region.

Assholes!

10. Protect REAL morality - vote DEMOCRAT
That needs to be our focus. They have proved that their party is definitely NOT the moral ones.

Protect our Families - VOTE DEMOCRATIC

Protect our Country - VOTE DEMOCRATIC

People of Faith are DEMOCRATS

Basically everything they say they are - we are minus the hypocrisy.

And we should start saying it loud and clear and strong.

11. We don't need to say anything. The GOP is imploding.
The hypocrisy is visible.

All we need to say is "I told you so!".

14. I don't associate with folks like that....
And I work in a Union manufacturing plant. Only a hand full of religious nuts there like him.

I have one cousin who is a repub.
I was just laughing at him last week for buying a brand new Dodge Ram last Christmas time. 9 miles to the gallon really hurts when gas is $3 a gallon!! He stays quite these days. I had to endure Limbaugh's talking points for 4 freakin' years. Ahh... silence!

Edited on Thu Oct-20-05 11:55 PM by Cleita
lined up on all the borders with shotguns to protect our borders? Or are they going to build a huge fence or wall all around the USA? Our borders are impossible to protect and since Republicans are rather boneheaded, I doubt if they would have any good solutions to keeping them as safe as possible.

23. Of course the implication here is the Dems want to open the borders...
and let and tom, dick, or harry come in and out of the country at their whim. It's a damn shame we don't live in a country where people don't respond to stuff like this with disdain, instead they believe it.

22. The Great Disconnect!
Repub voters never get it and continue to be used for their votes at election time and discarded in the aftermath.

But of course it's Clinton's fault and/or "to expensive" to fix.

21. Republicans control the borders, and hire the illegals
Which part of this is confusing?

The rank and file Pub voter may not want illegal immigration but his party overlords make it possible.
