Tom Delay's mugshot photo was mobster-esque
They way he smiled in the photo seems like something a mobster would do.

5. It just shows that Tom has a few marbles missing.
If someone accused me of doing something illegal, I would not be showing my pearly whites. I would show a face of determination.

Of course, we know what happened to him.

4. hmm...
If he tried to weasel out of dems using his photo, he was wrong. Simply show his photo, and next to it have the caption:

" Tom Delay shows the bravado of a mobster as he is booked in 2005"

8. From his laughing press conference ...
... to his mocking mug shot smile displays a disgusting and disturbing hubris ... guilty or innocent any "normal" person would be distressed by the seriousness of the charges ... they would feel great concern that their actions (at minimum) gave the impression of wrong doing.

I suppose I should have expected no less from that weasel.

11. Do we have any other Harris County mugshots?
Are they all so well lit? Do none of them have numbers? Are all suitable for framing?

Like no mugshot I've ever seen.

12. CNN has been reffering to it ...
... as Delay's "bizarre" mug shot ... questioning whether he thought the photo was for his high school yearbook.

13. Pride and Hubris.
It is obvious he has no remorse. He looks proud to be in the position he is in.

Whether he is convicted or not, his sad joke on his critics will backfire on him. Tom Delay - Proud to Be Indicted.

16. It's something a media-savvy sociopath would do.
He knew that photo would be going all over the place, and that he needed to put his "trust me, friend!" face on.

18. CNN's Bill Schneider thought it was skillful enough to win...
...the political "Play of the Week." Quite a guy that Bill Schneider.

http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0510/21/sitroom.02.html

SCHNEIDER: When reporters and photographers staked out the court house in DeLay's district, where he was expected to surrender, DeGuerin advised his client to surrender 40 miles away in Harris County. No perp walk, inkless fingerprints, no mug shots with numbers across the chest and for God's sake, look happy.

DEGUERIN: Mug shot, so he could put it out to Congressman DeLay's political opponents. And he's got what he wanted.

SCHNEIDER: DeGuerin claims his client is being prosecuted because of his politics. So DeGuerin is playing politics right back. Skillfully enough to win the political "Play of the Week."
