presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation. -5th Amendment to U.S. Constitution
Tell that to Jose Padilla who has been held for over a year in a South Carolina military brig. Padilla who supposedly plotted to bomb Chicago's O'Hare Airport. Padilla's indefinite detention, without access to an attorney, has civil libertarians up in arms. That's why the Cato Institute, joined by five ideologically diverse public policy organizations -- the Center for National Security Studies, the Constitution Project, the Lawyers Committee for Human Rights, People for the American Way, and the Rutherford Institute -- filed a friend-of-the-court brief in Padilla v. Rumsfeld, now pending before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in New York.
Indictment the easy way out for Rove and Cheney.
http://infowars.net/articles/october2005/201005indictment.htmResignation would be just lovely for Dick Cheney now. He seems to be on his last legs anyway. Regularly disappearing into bunkers for months on end, reportedly having heart surgery, knee surgery, you name it. The Plame leak case may give Cheney an open door to run through now (or limp through) rather than an ocean of treacle to wade through later on. You cant let this injustice happen. They need to be on trial for War Crimes not for something they will serve no time for.
Also if Cheney steps down that means good ole Condi gets a chance at the Show. This way you see a woman almost at the top of power in this country. This will make it a lot easier for you to accept Hillary, Leader of The American Federal Empire. Theres so much more going on, but the media simply does not report on it.
http://www.infowars.com/video/promo/beyond_treason/index.htmBegining in 1991 250,000 troops are now permanently disabled, 15,000 troops are dead and over 425,000 are ill and slowly dying from what the Department of Defense still calls a “mystery disease.” How many more will have to die before action is taken?
In the First Gulf War coalition forces contaminated Iraq and the surrounding regions with 340 Tons of Depleted Uranium. In the second Gulf War an additional 2,400 tons of D.U. were used. 800 tons of D.U. is equivalent to the atomicity of 41,000 Nagasaki bombs. Over 3 times that amount were used in Iraq.
Depleted Uranium used as a weopom is considered illegal by the United Nations.
A growing number of scientists and respected experts in their fields have been coming forward to share their research and first-hand knowledge of official betrayal.
As ailing Gulf War Heroes from all 27 coalition countries slowly die of “unknown causes,” they wait for answers from their respective governments… but no satisfying or even credible answers have come forth from the military establishment. Records that span over a decade point to negligence and even culpability on the part of the U.S. Department of Defense and their “disposable army” mentality.
