Would these guys be ballsy enough to shut down the Capitol for the week?
just enough to let the Grand Jury miss its deadline?

I mean bomb reports on CNN, etc... why now?

I don't think I'd put anything past them at this point.

1. Like trials themselves, grand juries can get continuances...
if there are extreme extenuating circumstances. So, no, this wouldn't work.
I think it's just another in the long line of my-numbers-are-low-so-here-comes-terror things. NY Subway, and all that

3. Their tactics are becoming quite transparent!
There are enough people who are no longer fooled that I don't think this could work. It might not stop them from trying, however.

4. No. It's too disruptive. And they don't need 'balls' to do it.
The folks that work on Capitol Hill get rousted out of their offices fairly regularly for empty McDonald's bags, errant airplanes, etc.

It's fairly routine.

And, no, doing something daring doesn't require ownership of 'balls'.

6. the bible knows who these guys are....
There is a generation whose teeth are like swords, and their jaws like knives, who devour the poor from the earth, and the needy from among men (Proverbs 30:14).

sounds about right, no?

8. Why risk ANOTHER obstruction of justice charge?
It would just delay the inevitable day of reckoning.

They're so desperate that they wouldn't even think twice about pushing the red button.

When Junior himself goes down, I hate to say it, but he's going to take half the country with him. He'll NOT go gently into that good night.

10. Time for another anthrax scare in Congress?
As a DC resident, I am :scared: shitless about what these Pukes will do to draw attention away from their crimes.
