why hasn't it crossed the mind of these RW spinners that the more |
|
terror alerts they put out there, the more people are going to feel/realize that we are less safe now than before * admin took over?
Don't they realize that what they are doing is affecting everyone's psyche in a way that backfires on them? The more alerts, the more tire the regular citizen is going to get and his/her desire to go back to normal will be associated with change of admin.
If a real attack were to happen (which I do not wish for), all that it'll do is verify that, as Katrina showed, this admin is worst prepared to handle any disaster or attack than anyone before it and that * hasn't really done anything to protect us.
Are they that deperate that the miss this? yeah, they are...

3. The whole 'cry wolf' thing is freaking me out |
|
because I don't trust them to know if/when an ACTUAL TERROR ATTACK might happen, and I have full confidence there there are folks out there planning, I mean, our gov't provides so much inspiration for terrorists...
Someday it may be real and we won't believe them.

4. yeah, they are that desperate........ |
|
........apparently they are still relying on the misguided belief that anytime terrorism is mentioned, it helps their poll numbers.
And the reason why it used to help their numbers was because people believed they would protect us. But after Katrina, we now know that's not true!
I can't believe this hasn't even occured to them yet!! But I suppose if you have a guy like Chertoff who is head of Homeland Security who acts like they did nothing wrong regarding Katrina, it's not unreasonable to believe these people don't realize the damaging effect Katrina had on this administration and the country too!!

6. 80% of America doesn't hear about it until later. |
|
Average folks just don't tune into this stuff. They'll hear about it over the "water cooler" or at dinner. That's about it. It's not a "pothole" issue.

7. well, then the treats wouldn't work either...if most people are |
|
disconnected, the less the strategy works...Either way, the strategy delivers very little, if anything at all beside people getting tire.

8. they have too much contempt for the public |
|
to credit them with having reasoning powers to figure this out. They view the public as animals to be herded in the direction they want us to go. That's not done through reason and debate, it's done through making loud noises to frighten the beasts into the corral. The fake terror alerts are like shooting into the air with pistols. The less manageable herd members might even have to be buzzed with helicoptors to get them to fall in line.
Meanwhile, all the clueless supporters walked into the barn offering themselves willingly to be tagged and gelded. They stand there, smugly believing the Master allowed them into the barn as a sign of favor. As they chew their (ever-decreasing, inferior quality, moldy) hay ration they contemplate the lunacy of those crazy ones who won't proclaim allegiance to the Master. After all, he just wants to look after our well being and save us from all the evil that is Out There.

Pushing the terror button worked before; by God, it'll work again! It has to! It MUST. Push HARDER.
Seriously, why wouldn't they act like this? It's the same principle they use in all the rest of their doings. They fasten on one thing they like and never let go, whether through rain or sleet or shitstorms. MORE TAX CUTS! The official solution to everything is MORE TAX CUTS! And, the unofficial solution to internal woes is always, ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK FEAR FEAR FEAR. It's all they've got, and they can't/won't accept anything new, so they're workin' it for all its worth.
