Can't the prosecution EQUALLY be successful in having a REPUB judge removed?

1. such a precedent would damage the judical system for all time in Texas
If I, as a Democrat, were apprehended in a Republican jurisdiction where all judges were Republicans, I should be able to be granted a change of venue to where a Democratic Judge can be found.

It's a bullshit argument and should not stand.

2. One would think so, except
that would play right into the DeLay Defense and he'll say, "See? See?" <pointing his finger while jumping up and down>

The best thing would be if the supervising judge (Republican) sends it back to the presiding judge (Democrat) and tells DeLay to shut the fuck up and stop trying to taint the jury pool.

3. Apparently Tom Delay is God
He can restructure the courts and redistrict the state on a whim.

Or, as Bush would say, "At the whim of a hat"

4. If I were the judge in question I would be PISSED at Delay
He is quite literally questioning the judge's ability to do his job. A judge is supposed to set aside personal issues and rule solely nased upon the facts of the case. The judge should immediately dismiss this motion.

8. No more than some others have done. I have seen posts that
say the "judge is on board. He is one of us."

I want this judge to be so damn non-partisan. When DeLay goes down, I want it to be because he is guilty. Not because he is one of us.

5. Thankfully most Texas Rethug judges are in D.C. whoring for Miers
so maybe it'll end up in Democratic hands afterall.

6. Tom Delay is just trying to taint the jury right out of the gates...
before an opening statement is uttered, he's already throwing down the partisan card. It's his only defense, and boy is he spinning it. We should expect more of this through out the trial... that's if he isn't able to get the judge to recuse himself and find a Judge that is also on his payrole. :eyes:

10. Then Earle should have a repub judge recused based on this...
:eyes:

It's complete crap. I guess if I go in front of a judge I have a right to know his political affiliation and to what political groups he or she has donated.
