Okay, so wait a minute...who thought the package was "suspicious?"
Edited on Fri Oct-21-05 11:36 AM by Atman
The Corporate News is reporting that the two men told police the had a suspicious package in their car. Yeah. I can see that. It happens to me all the time. You know, I'm riding along, and look over, and right there in my car is a package that I don't know where it came from.

"Hey, look, there in the back seat? Is that your package, dude?"

"Gosh, never seen it before! I thought it was YOUR package?"

"Hmm. We'd better go ask those nice Capitol Police officers over there!"

Jesus. You can tell Rove isn't on the job. This is an amateurish story.

OOGA BOOGA BOOGA BOOGA!

11. CNN is reporting that it is a rental car
We get deliveries from UPS and DHL all the time. They do sometimes show up (DHL anyway) in unmarked vehicles or Budget rental trucks but there are NEVER two people in the delivery vehicle. DHL is known to subcontract their deliveries out on a fairly regular basis, at least in this area. Could be a delivery service, but with two of them in the car, it doesn't seem likely. Anyway, why not go to a police station if you think you have something strange in your car instead of the Capitol Building?

17. It is possible. And it is near IM-possible to get a courier service up
to the Hill these days. You have to give the courier the phone number of someone who will answer the phone when they arrive outside the building then go outside to greet the courier and get the package. It's that way on the Hill and at every gov't building I send stuff to in this city. :eyes:

So you can see how easy it was for CH Police to jump all over this shit.
