What the RW is saying about Barbara Boxer for standing up to them.

In a newsletter from Barbara Boxer she stated:

The right wing movement and their henchmen in the media have called me "learning disabled," "an Airhead," "ridiculous," "an embarrassment," "the biggest doofus ever," "un-American," "unfit," "a nut," "reckless," and "the dumbest member of the United States Senate." One even said that I am "Frau Doctor Mengele of the U. S. Senate" because of my leadership on choice.

This last one has to be especially hurtful because Barbara had relatives who died in the Nazi Holocaust. This is why our lily-livered elected members of Congress aren't speaking up to the Bushistas. Barbara as you know has been a tiny warrior, sometimes all alone, in fighting these government pustules.

She faced up to Condaleeza Rice, using her own lying words, to try to get her to speak the truth before she was sworn in as Secretary of State. She recently locked horns with Rice again over a matter that escapes me for the moment. I can imagine that Rice has her in the crosshairs.

Take care of yourself Barbara. Watch your back. We all love you, you tiny brave woman.

6. Senator Boxer is used to this crap

I've mentioned before that the Senator acted on behalf of a good friend of mine (a middle-class person who merely wanted permanent residency after living here for most of her life and raising a family) to secure her permanent residency when *no one* else would do it.

She has been attacked mercilessly by the right wing in this state (by Bob Dornan's old crew) repeatedly and has always held herself up with great class. Barbara will be fine.

I'm sure she knows all about not flying in small planes.
