NEW MEME: "Tom DeLay has gone judge shopping" |
|
"In a desperate attempt to obtain a judge sympathetic to DeLay, his attorney even went so far as to tell a bold faced lie in court about an organization the sitting judge had donated to!"

2. Is it a lie that the judge didn't donate to Moveon.org? |
|
I do hope it is, but if he did and DeLay gets another one, I hope we can trace "his/her" contributions as well. I'm sure he'll find one that donated under the table to the repukes.

5. The lie was that Moveon-org was sellign T-shirts with DeLay's mugshot. |
|
So the motion for the judge to recuse should be denied on its face and DeGuerin slapped with a contempt charge.

10. The Judge didn't deny donating. He said the last time that he remembered |
|
Edited on Fri Oct-21-05 01:21 PM by Pirate Smile
donating to them was back in 2004 when they were primarily working to get Sen. Kerry elected.
If he hadn't donated to Move On, I would think he would have said so.

Though there are a lot of T-shirts out there - MoveOn is not selling them.

Every left wing web site and Cafe Press store is affiliated somehow with Moveon.
They're certain of it because we're all part of the same Vast Left Wing conspiracy.

Just because they all receive their pre-approved talking points in faxes from the heritage foundation, they think that the left is similarly coordinated by nebulous umbrella organizations...

Who makes the decision to give him another judge? If it's this judge, and he pisses off the judge with this maneuver, it could up and bite him on the ass.

I don't think DeLay is going to get anywhere with this. Of course, the point could be to convince his supporters that the proceedings are bogus. It would work for that. Just cloud things a little bit and give the brain-dead a hope to cling to.

17. Looming over any judge is having a decision overturned on appeal. |
|
So the current judge must consider the issue. I would think the judge would give it a thought and then call it what it is: BS.
Especially since Scalia went duck hunting with Cheney and then voted on a case involving Cheney. The SCOTUS is almost never overturned but a SCOTUS did overturn a former SCOTUS case on segregation about 100 years earlier.

Has anyone notified anyone, the news media, the judge, their local radio station, anyone at all, that it was a lie? Sounds to me like the sort of thing that would make a nice "Scoop".
