Pentagon Appealing the ACLU's FOIA request ?
Today the 21st is one day after the deadline set by Judge Hellerstein.

Where is the ACLU's press release on this?

Anyone heard anything about this since last month?

From what I could determine the next circuit court for appeals would be the appeals court (4th circuit), and then if that is exhausted, the supreme court.

Any legal scholars know about the hurdles facing the ACLU lawsuit to release the Abu Gareib photos and video of torture?

5. They probably filed an appeal yesterday
I think that the courts give out real days, not business days.

I'm guessing that an appeal was filed yesterday at the last minute, and we just havent seen anything about it.

Maybe the appeal is sealed, these kryptofascists will stop at nothing it seems.

2. For the last 3 hours I've been looking into this in vain (so far)...
There were two threads earlier today about this (search for ghraib) but neither shed much light on what the government's strategy was or if it had made any moves whatsoever.

Frustrated,

PB

8. I saw those threads from yesterday
Thought I'd try and :kick: the issue up a bit.

I know that TPM Cafe has ACLU guest bloggers, maybe I'll mosey over there and see. DKOS is unsearchable too slow, plus the format gives me a headache.

4. I've been looking for the Darby photos or any information
none to be found. The order was stayed for twenty days for an appeal and those twenty days are over!

Will this end up being a late Friday news dump they hope will be overtaken by Wilma?

Maybe it is twenty business days. Don't think so though. I have been looking and looking. I don't get it.
