MoveOn.org Statement on False Statement by DeLay's Lawyer
MoveOn.org Political Action Statement on False Statement by Tom DeLay's Defense Lawyer Dick DeGuerin

http://releases.usnewswire.com/GetRelease.asp?id=55393

WASHINGTON, Oct. 21 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Following is a statement released today by Tom Matzzie, the Washington director of MoveOn.org Political Action regarding a statement made by Rep. Tom DeLay's lawyer, Dick DeGuerin:

"Tom DeLay is a key part of the culture of corruption in Washington. We're not surprised that DeLay and his lawyer Dick DeGuerin are making things up. We're not selling t-shirts. DeGuerin has either bad information or lied in court. Americans are sick of the corruption in Congress and think it will be a better place without Tom DeLay."

4. It's so pathetic that Moveon is the default, universal "bad guy"
for the Repukes. Never mind that MoveOn does nothing but good things for our country, and the liar party has to make things up to "prove" that MoveOn is evil. I'm laughing off this pathetic stunt.

6. I *LOVE* that they are ignoring whether the judge gave them money
as he is free to do so and it has nothing to do with anything.

They just cut right to the "we aren't selling any t-shirts idiot"

11. Well, DeLay funneled money to Republicans
a helluva a lot of money, too...so I guess we will have to dig up Mother Theresa to adjudicate this thing, then....

12. So a Democrat can't fairly hear a Republican's case, or vice versa?
Can you imagine if was allowed to be the precedent?

The court system would break down if only Dems hear Dem cases and Repub's hear Repub cases.

16. WAIT - if Delay's lawyer LIED in court, isn't that perjury???!!!!
If moveon.org can proove that the lawyers statement was perjury, then shouldn't he be disbarred?

More importantly, doesn't the lawyer have to provide EVIDENCE of such said accusations? This is ri-fucking-diculous.
