What are you doing to take the edge off of your stress awaiting Fitzmas?
When I am stressed, and in the house (I don't want to go too far from media sources... just in case!) I bake.

I am going to get fat if Fitzgerald doesn't announce something first.
This week alone, baked and finished off: Pumpkin Cake, Bread pudding and cherry pie in the oven now.

I also made a pot roast for dinner - and I am a vegetarian (dh and the kids loved it though).

Family hopes this goes on forever, I am sure - but I am tired of doing dishes!

What is your de-stresser to get you through this?

7. My two boys play football,
so I am forced to get out and take them to practice and interact with people who don't give a fig about politics.

But Saturday is the last game. My daughter is already done cheerleading for football.

But still - on the ride home I listen to CNN on the radio just in case!!!

12. Driving my husband nuts. Mind you, he is interested but
is not addicted to this infernal web site. **** makes him just as sick as he makes me but he tends to internalize it. He'll get the ulcer, I'll get eye strain and carpel tunnel. Too much time here...but well worth it. Where else can I get news? Certainly not on cable TV or my local radio stations. Guess I'll have to tough this one out. Fitzmas can't come soon enough!

19. I'm driving Mr. CB nuts too!
I care for my horse each day and that gets me away from the home and office computers (DU), radio and TV and into the great outdoors with my beautiful filly. I forget about the stress of modern life in the USA while enjoying time with my equine. I'll see her about 6PM tonight for a few stress-free hours!

if anyone even does get in official trouble, they'll be back in the private sector making millions quicker than anyone can say Fitzmas. Then they'll go through that revolving door between the boardroom and government again in a few years.

Mmmmmm, stressless.

Me, every time I get antsy, I think about how much worse it must be for the people likely to be on the receiving end of those indictments... and then I want Fitz to stre-e-e-e-e-e-e-tch it out.

27. what a great thread - sorry I missed it.
For the record:
I have cleaned the windows and screens (winter is open window season here in FL)

Cleared out and replanted my herb garden

Re-mulched the front beds

dusted stuff I don't normally dust.

- I guess I can clean the ceiling fan blades over the weekend.

in that order. My cousin at work wants me to call her as soon as charges come up on TV. She had her secretary get her out of any meetings if I call. She's opening a bottle of champagne at work with co-workers who also hate bush.

30. I'm taking heroin and potshots at my neighbors.
I have also been swimming from Alcatraz to San Francisco and back again.

I have taken up sky diving even though I'm afraid of heights.

I have gone on one or two archeological digs in the Andes looking for precolumbian mummies.

I am translating the complete works of Shakespeare into Romanian.

I am looking for an alternate proof for Fermat's last theorem.

If the stress gets really, really, really bad, I watch television, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.

33. Hmm. Nope. I still have the edge. I do like to bake when I am
stressed...which I am these days, not just b/c of Fitzmas but for other reasons. I like to cook and bake when I am stressed; sometimes overeating, while other times not eating much at all.

I don't know. I finally slept a little last night and a nap today too. I hadn't been sleeping well or long for a few weeks now.

So, the edge is still there. How about you?

43. I'm thinking about how much worse this is for Scooter, Turd Blossom, et al
than it is for the rest of us.

I'm just happy to see any of this happening at all.

I am also secure in the certainty that when the needle goes too far into the "evil" zone, the goodness of the universe (I personally would say "the goodness of God"; but I also think "the universe" and "God" are pretty much synonymous, so in deference to those who do not believe, "the universe" is suitable for my purposes) will tip the needle back into the "goodness" zone eventually--just as in Keith's quote from Gandhi tonight. Good always wins--sometimes it takes a little while, but it always, always, always wins.
