lies about WMD led to war. She gives details about Wilson's recritment to go to Niger and goes step by step about how and why the Bushies tried to discredit him.

The Bushbot womamn tries to innterupt but Amy soldiers on.

Incredibly short segment , but well worth watching the replay later.

15. she's losing it, but mathews allowed that wilson lied to go unchallenged
in addition, it was too short, and morgan got in that maybe Plame was NOT a CIA, even though mathews corrected it as he was ending the segment, it shows that these right wing bigots will sell the country down the road over their party

22. I agree it was too short
That gratuitous hurricane hunter phone call took too long. They should have cancelled the segment, or recorded it after they went off the air, and edited the hurricane crap out when they rebroadcast.

As usual, Tweety misses an opportunity. I am still waiting for him to admit he is PART OF THIS STORY.

11. Didn't their mothers teach them not to interrupt?
It's pathetic -- that seems to be the only way they think they can make their point: by interrupting and then talking over their opponent.

Amy looked pretty disappointed at the end. Why does Tweety ask her on, only to let her say two sentences? I wonder if she'll accept any future invitation to be on his show.

18. Poor time management. Melanie was playing disrupter because the
facts scare her. That was obvious to me.

17. Melanie Morgan totally mistates Wilson's trip to Niger. She also
questions Plame being an undercover agent and said that Plame outed herself. Tweety kept letting her spew lies until she said Plame was an undercover agent..that was at the end, and he corrected her, but not forcefully enough to get his point across.

Amy talks about how the crime is how the Bush adm. was trying to shut up anyone being a critic to the war..think she mentioned lies, and how there was going to be demonstrations across the country when the 2,000 soldier dies. Morgan talked over Amy for most of the time. Disgraceful.

Amy says this has the potential to have worldwide implications. She says
when the armed forces death toll reaches 2,000 we will begin to see a lot more anti-war activism based on the information coming out of this investigation.

It's a short segment but well worth catching the replay(s) later.

19. idiot RW talking blonde was so absurd
Edited on Fri Oct-21-05 05:06 PM by leftofthedial
that Tweety cut off the whole segment abruptly. Ms. Goodman did get a plug in for the upcoming worldwide march on the occasion of the 2000th American death.

That was kidn of a non sequitur though. There was insufficient time to make the connection between Plamegate and the WMD lies. Once again, the liberal fails to make a clear, concise point.

We so desperately need a progressive version of the daily RW talking points.

20. Goodman Was Great
I know it is popular to bash Tweety here at DU ... and I've done my fair share, too.

But, I'll give him (or his producers) credit for having Amy Goodman on more and more.

Most of all because it raises Goodman's profile -- and the nation would be better off if it listened to Democracy Now! every day.

So, I'll cut Tweety a little (very little) slack for having Amy Goodman on as a commentator.

And ... try a catch Hardball after the Abrams show. David Shuster had a dynamite report about the direction of the Fitzgerald investigation.

23. Morgan Was The Wench Who Organized The "You Don't Speak For Me Cindy" Crap
Also, I hear her contract at her San Francisco station isn't being renewed and a syndication deal isn't quite coming together. Awww...poor Melody...she needs a new meal ticket and fast.

Why not make up an outrageous lie about Wilson...one that's sure to make it to all the hate radio shows...she'll get invited as a guest and curry favor with the hate radio gods. IIRC, she also works closely with a Repugnican "strategist" who was getting party money to pay for their little escapades.

Of course Tweety wouldn't dare to expose this little underworld...cause that's how he got where he is.

The good thing about all these lies coming out...and the strident nature they're being transmitted...they're providing plenty of "beat down" material for the time goons like Morgan find themselves completely on the outside trying to get back in.
