1. Kick
It's too early here in CA. Maybe I'll try to catch it when I get home.

2. What Ronnie Earle said today
What Ronnie Earle said:

"What this means is: If a judge had contributed to Crime Stoppers, that judge could not hear a burglary case? Carried to its extreme, that is what I think this motion means, and I think that’s absurd. We don’t live in a country where political party determines the measure of justice."

----------------------------------------------------------------

It's awfully hard to find a judge who hasn’t contributed to a political party or partisan organization.

Maybe only female judges can hear crimes committed by women? How about black judges for black defendants?

3. He said that? That is awesome!

What cracks me up is how can they have the nerve to question a judge when the SC stole the election for them.

4. Perhaps Delay and his attorney should have a talk with Dino Rossi
As many of you no doubt know, we had a very close and contentious gubernatorial race here in Washington. Democrat Christine Gregoire won out over Republican Dino Rossi. Rossi's people took it to court (their right), and shopped for a judge they thought would be sympathetic to them -- a republican in a republican area of central Washington. They lost. The judge made his decision on the merits (or lack thereof) of the case, not on the political affiliation.

I now Delay wants the current judge to recuse himself because he gave to MoveOn. He obviously wants a judge that he would perceive as being favorable to him because of political affiliation. If a judge cannot be non-partisan and follow the rule of the law, regardless of their own political persuasion, they have no business sitting on the bench.

6. Obviously grasping at straws. No action is to lame.
If they think it has *any* chance of working or is something they can attempt to throw back at someone later.
