MoveOn.org said Friday it is not selling T-shirts bearing the mug shot of former U.S. House Majority Leader Tom DeLay of Sugarland.
DeLay’s attorney, Dick Deguerin, told a judge in Austin during a hearing Friday morning that the group, to which the judge has contributed money, was selling the T-shirts
In a statement, MoveOn.org says that DeLay's lawyer was wrong about the T-shirt.
“We’re not surprised that DeLay and his lawyer Dick DeGuerin are making things up,” the group said.
“We’re not selling t-shirts. DeGuerin has either bad information or lied in court.”

AUSTIN, Texas A liberal political group denies it's been selling T-shirts bearing the likeness of Tom DeLay's mug shot.
In an Austin courtroom today, DeLay's attorney said MoveOn-dot-org has been selling such a T-shirt as he asked the judge to recuse himself. Attorney Dick DeGuerin (deh-GEHR'-in) of Houston says state District Judge Bob Perkins has donated money to MoveOn-dot-org.
Perkins replied that he's neither seen nor bought such a T-shirt, and that the last time he contributed to MoveOn-dot-org was before last year's election. He says that's when they were mostly helping Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry.
In a statement, MoveOn-dot-org says that DeLay's lawyer "has either bad information or lied in court."
