So Now the Swifties Are Going After Miers? What Gives?
Either one faction of the conservatives really really really is pissed off about this nomination, or .. I just don't know what to think.

from http://talkingpointsmemo.com/

Earlier today, World Net Daily reported what it called a big development in the Miers story. That development involved a guy named Larry Littwin, a fellow who's been under a gag order and prevented from talking about his role in a scandal that took place on Harriet Miers' watch at the Texas State Lottery Commission.

....

Late Update: The original story at WND was written by Jerome Corsi, co-author of last year's notorious Swift Boat book, Unfit for Command. Like I said, I wanted to verify myself.

Fun, ain't it?

4. Iss Littwin the one Miers tangled with about Bush's AWOL records?
We know she was hired for $19 K to cover up Bush's sahmeful record of desertion with the Texas Air National Guard. Is Littwin the character in the middle here, or is it someone else?

5. Don't Know For Sure
There was something in the Village Voice piece that mentioned him.

Barnes hit the headlines during Bush's first campaign because he supposedly was the man who got young George out of the draft and into the Texas National Guard, a charge he denied. Littwin's suit was eventually settled for $300,000. Barnes's deposition, in which the National Guard matter was mentioned, disappeared.
