1. There are many here who think Gergen is a Pub shill, I don't! |
|
I really think he's a moderate who looks at things like they really are at the time.
He doesn't see anything good happening with this Admin.
He really doesn't slam anybody. He didn't slam Clinton when he was going through the Monica mess either. Then, he said, the best Clinton could do is to come clean. Say, yes I had oral sex with Monica. It was wrong, and I'm sorry. Think about it! He was right.

6. you are right about Gergen whose point on just admitting mistake and |
|
apologising and moving on applies to all politicians.
There was a time when Rove was still in control of all media that if Bush had apologised...it could have been spun in his favor.

4. Gergen seems to try to make sense........ |
|
......even though he leans to the right. But at least he's not sitting there trying to justify their actions when anyone can see they're going down........fast!!!
So I gotta give him credit for, at least, facing reality.

guy who tries to be fair so I think his opinion counts more than someone who is really biased in either direction.

7. Yeah--I certainly don't have a problem with conservatives who think |
|
I mean, everyone's entitled to his or her opinion, obviously. (If those opinions are racist, sexist, classist, stupid, etc, that's different, of course. Luckily, people like that will probably be reincarnated as a member of the class they once scorned, so it all works out okay.... But anyway--when people come to their conclusions carefully and consciously, that's cool.)
I like Gergen and I like seeing him on TV because I know he's not just going to parrot talking points.

8. I've never had a problem with anything Gergen's said... |
|
He's been around the block more than once and I think what he has to say is worth listening to.

10. Gergen is one of the few moderate republicans that I don't mind. |
|
I rank him with Richard Clarke and former Clinton Defense secty. Rubin (was that his name?) But what I really like of Gergen is that he pissed Barbara Bush off, I don't know what it was about but it was right on. LOL.
