Fact or Fiction? Plame wasn't a covert NOC meme
I've had some Bushbots mention to me that Plame was never undercover.

I figure this must be some Hannity or Rush meme as most established media says she was undercover, but I'm not sure where it originated.

Whay say you guys?

1. Well, the CIA referred the matter to the DOJ
Presumably, the CIA knows whether their agents are undercover. ;)

2. The CIA itself asked for the investigation, If she was not under cover...
Then why did they ask for it.

So SHe was under cover, she was "working" at a brass plate company.

3. That Reich Wing bimbo on Tweety was saying the same thing tonight
It's just another desperate effort by the MSM whores and liars to discredit those who tell the truth about this unelected imbecile and his puppetmasters.

18. Here you go from Time magazine 9/27/03
The CIA triggered the Justice inquiry with a memo saying that there may have been an unauthorized disclosure about the wife of Joe Wilson, a former U.S. ambassador.
...
The CIA is required to notify Justice if it believes there may have been an unauthorized disclosure. The notification was first reported Friday by MSNBC. The White House has denied being a source of any story about Wilson's wife.

CIA and Justice spokespersons declined comment, but an Administration official told TIME that the Justice is conducting a preliminary inquiry to "determine whether or not there should be an investigation" by the FBI.

4. Please don't give these denial promoters any
credibility......They all remind me of the dysfunctional family wherein the mother stays in denial of her new boyfriend molesting her daughter. No difference....all the same kind of denial.

5. If she wasn't covert
why was she working for Brewster-Jennings, a fake company that had other fake employees? If she wasn't covert, why didn't they just let her work straight up out of the CIA? Saying she was not covert is like trying to construct another fiction.

6. The important point -- and all you have to tell the Bushbots --
is that the CIA itself says she was undercover. It was, after all, the CIA that requested the investigation in the first place, which they wouldn't have done if she hadn't been an undercover agent whose cover was blown.

<snip>
Sources told CNN that Plame works in the CIA's Directorate of Operations -- the part of the agency in charge of spying -- and worked in the field for many years as an undercover officer.

"If she were only an analyst, not an operative, we would not have filed a crimes report" with the Justice Department, a senior intelligence official said.

CIA Seeks Probe of White House
Agency asks Justice to investigate leak of employee’s identity
by MSNBC.com’s Alex Johnson with NBC’s Andrea Mitchell

WASHINGTON, Sept. 26 — The CIA has asked the Justice Department to investigate allegations that the White House broke federal laws by revealing the identity of one of its undercover employees in retaliation against the woman’s husband, a former ambassador who publicly criticized President Bush’s since-discredited claim that Iraq had sought weapons-grade uranium from Africa, NBC News has learned.
