...regardless of the outcome.

"Some attorneys who admire Mr. Fitzgerald detect a hint of zealotry or inflexibility in his approach and wonder whether what works with terrorism translates to an inside-the-Beltway case involving White House officials and their multilayered relationships with journalists."

Heh.

1. I agree....that article made me smile :)
It seems that the label of "partisan hack" could never stick on this guy...We couldn't ask for a better Prosecutor based on his credentials. I mean, imagine...here is a Republican, a workaholic who has prosecuted Mobsters and even the religious sheik who was connected with the first WTC bombings....

I have a really good feeling about what is coming down the pike....

:hi: Will!

2. I wonder what plan B is?
Clearly their 'attack the messenger' tactic won't work this time.

4. I don't know how John Dean made the error of thinking Fitz is Republican.
But he has edited his column to remove that mistake.

6. And, when you read about his life, it almost seems as if he was born...
...for this moment in history. It'd make a great novel except that it's all true.

10. I want to know who appointed him. That's who I want to thank.
Someone deliberately chose the most incorruptibly honest man he knew.

13. The article tells us
Mr. Fitzgerald was appointed in December 2003 by James B. Comey, then the deputy attorney general and an old friend, to investigate the disclosure in a column by Robert Novak

5. I feel good (I knew I would). Take a look, right-wingers, at a man who
ACTUALLY saw the threat of bin Laden and tried to do something about it.
