1. For the record, this has nothing to do with Global warming.
Its actually because God and Jesus both think Bush is a stupid jerkoff, and are punishing us.

11. No, No, No... Haven't You Heard... We're Not Supporting Bush ENOUGH.
And we don't PRAY "hard enough" to suit them. So... get with it... start praying, and pray HARD!

13. Oh. My mistake. Here's the official reason
So, its because God is mad at those very few Americans who don't support the President. So he is punishing us with hurricanes.

That's right.

10. South of Cuba is
Jamaica - we can't take another drop of water. Thankfully the only model so far suggest that Alpha will head Northeast and into the Atlantic. Sadly that model gos right through Haiti and she is already soaked.
Early days but this does not look good for Jamaica's North coast or Haiti.

14. We are all storm weary right now
but we do what we can - head to the supermarket and replenish our supplies. I can't take another storm believe me. Work is suffering big time as we are preoccupied with what's coming next. I swear the psychologists and psychiatrists will soon have to develop a hurricane stress sub-division.

We are all fed up - the last two years have been hell.

27. What is also official
is that more hurricanes have hit Florida since the Bush 2000 selection than in the history of hurricanes. Lesson for the fundies: do not fugg with the wrath of nature!!! Will Wilma make eight or nine in two years???

29. She's now 110mph
but since she's drifting north ever so slowly she may well have time to regain strength. Don't think she'll hit Florida above Cat 3, but the problem is that there is so much rain here that some parts of Florida will be flooded before she even reaches the US mainland.

30. Don't think she'll strenthen
Gulf of Mexico is not as warm as the Caribbean nor as it was in August/September. Also metereologists reported windshear that will distrurb the system.

So Florida seems to be lucky this year. Katrina as cat2, now Wilma as cat2 as well.

26. Nominal record yes, but ...
since the previous record was achieved in 1933 I suspect the true number of tropical storms (with winds above 39 mph) in that year was singnificantly higher than the official record.

People back then didn't have the technology to measure the storms like we do. Especially storms that stay at sea and do not make landfall would be difficult - or imposible - to record.
