1. Hey, had to make that money grubbing fundraiser. That's what's all
important to this brain dead corporate he-whore. Why doesn't someone make a poster of bush** with a matress on his back in front of the Enron Building?

2. This is the kind of thing people understand.
Another thread today talks of the Plame affair being too complicated for the average Joe and Jane to understand. It makes the point that Monicagate was about marital infidelity and then lying about it, which many many people "get".

This, also, is the sort of thing people "get".

7. Very true. My wife got it too,
Kenter is my sons school. She was stuck for an hour in that traffic after dropping him.

9. The Plame affair...
...isn't too hard for people to understand, in my opinion. The media just aren't framing it properly. "Karl Rove, Scooter Libby, and possibly the President and Vice President committed treason by outing a CIA agent" is simple enough, but no one is willing to say it on the evening news. :)

5. I like this quote:
"One glamorous Westsider suggested an alternate route for the president. Another wielded a sign that said simply, "Impeach Bush.""

10. They didn't see the wizard, they saw the puppet king!
I can't believe the cop who thought this was the defining moment in his career.

11. Scrooge, what a perfect metaphor for him.
Just perfect. And the police chief says things went along without a hitch. Boy, is that ever tunnel vision.

12. "If he can sneak in and out of Baghdad..."
without anybody knowing it, it seems like he could slip in and out of L.A. without disrupting rush hour - twice."

LOL. You'd think.

13. Why can't local authorities just say "No."
They were just given a few minutes' warning. The secret service has no authority over local officials. They should have said "We can let you through this afternoon." And since that's after the "Hey, look, I'm Reagan" speech, tell them "Guess you should have made a contingency plan in case of problems."

You know, like they should have done in Iraq.
