Her sisters son is fucked. If this woman is typical of the breed, she secretly hopes he DOES go to Iraq. It gives her something to crow about and lots of excuses to be at the center of everyones attention. I swear I meet more RW "drama queens" than of any other stripe.

|
Bush?
Bush is a dolt, a puss-pocket, a lunkhead and a smirking buttlick. When he spits and hisses as he speaks, and smiles that shit-eating grin, he makes my skin crawl and my stomach turn. Hate doesn't describe what I feel....contempt does.
LOL - I have more if it will make you feel better.

We are going to be seeing a lot of doe-in-the-headlights looks in the very near future, as the kool-aid wears off. And the hell of it is, we have to be nice to them and welcome them to the fold as they do catch on.

I cut off contact with my family 20 years ago because they are toxic -- right wing nuts.
When the blinders come off (and sometimes it happens) these folks become enraged.
The bushies don't have to worry about the "liberals" but rather their own base, the right wing nuts who are drinking the koolaid -- these are the ones who will go nuts and try to storm the White House etc. There will be a tipping point when they can see through the curtain and see there is nothing there except a bunch of really rich guys who have been laughing at them all along.

He's a diesel mechanic out of Camp leJeune. Everyone's gotten to "play in the sand" in the last two years, and they'll get to continue.
Her son will be going, and he will be there repeatedly.
don't give in to her drama - just send your nephew care packages with lots of books. When Mom dramas out, remind her that you, too, love your nephew, and so do the 200,000 other parents of deployed personnel in the region.

Is a thought I have about my wing nutty mother all the time, and I worry about what will happen to our already tense relationship if there's a draft and my son, who is now 16, gets sent off somewhere to be physically and psychologically maimed or worse and to do those things to others who didn't attack us.
And so what if it's not Iraq? It's not a good thing to feed the war machine.
